It’s getting to be that time of year when once again we find ourselves slowly losing sight of those new years resolutions we made with such enthusiasm just weeks ago. If this was the year for you to find a way to stop biting your nails, or just to figure out a way for you to finally get beautiful, long and hard nails then I have just the thing for you. Pick this up the next time you go to the drugstore and not only will you have gorgeous envy-worthy nails, but lots more spare cash when you realize it eliminates the need for professional manicures.

Whats my new year's solution? Sally Hansen Miracle Cure for Severe Problem Nails. This product really works. My nails have never grown longer or stronger without breaking, peeling or bending. The product is amazing and I the compliments about my nails haven’t stopped! Not only do I think it works wonders, but so does the company; they are so confident in their product that it is guaranteed to work. Now why can’t my resolution to exercise more often come with that kind of guarantee?

Shop it: Sally Hansen Miracle Cure for Severe Problem Nails, $7.99 - $8.29 at Walgreens and Walgreens.com

Sally Hansen stuff is great! Their Diamond Hard nail topcoat is really good too; my nails used to split a lot and a couple coats of this regularly keeps them in tip-top shape and provides a nice glossy finish.

Per your advice, I went out at bought it! Only applied it once so far, but it says every other day. Should you remove the previous coat before applying a new one? I feel like nail polish remover + a new coat every other day will make my nails weaker.

MDlo, usually when it comes to hardeners it's layer building. A lot of hardeners come with advice along the lines of 'apply one coat for 4 days, then remove and restart' or 'apply one coat for 3 days, leave and restart following week'. I can't think you need to take off EVERY time.

The instructions are confusing: "Apply 1 thin coat to bare nails every other day." To me that could either mean to leave on or take off the old layer. Which is right for the best effect? I also think it means there should be no nailcolor or lotions on the nails when this product is applied..

I applied one coat every other day, without removing the previous layer. Hope this helps!
