Shop Alexander McQueen for Target Today!

Alexander McQueen Collection At Target.com

The big day has finally arrived when fashionistas nationwide can shop the Alexander McQueen for Target collection online and at select stores (sadly, not carried at a store near me). I'm just dying to get my hands on the asymmetrical dress (above) but I am reluctant to spend $69.99 without trying it on. Are you guys going gagga? Let me know what you buy!

I was at my "local" Target (there are about a million in the area) and didn't see the McQueen line, but they were also putting out a lot of new merchandise today, so maybe I'll have to try again later in the week, or another Target near me. I DID, however, score some adorable sandals: http://www.target.com/Xhilaration-Tori-Beaded-Thong-Sandals/dp/B001I249BU/qid=1236194380/ref=br_1_2/178-9797366-0013916?ie=UTF8&node=1261851011&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1 andhttp://www.target.com/Xhilaration-Taryn-Fringe-Sandal-Coral/dp/B001I19KNS/qid=1236194440/ref=br_1_13/178-9797366-0013916?ie=UTF8&node=1261851011&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1 in Coral and Brown. I'll be waiting to see if my Target carries these fringe sandals in other colors (I bought both of the colors they're carrying), 'cause they're SUPER-cute in person! I must have missed the Native American spring trend memo, but I love what I'm seeing so far.

I am going today and getting that dress! I willl let you know how it fits and post photos. I hope they have the nude booties in the shoe section but it won't be a McQueen collection.

I'm tempted to drive down to the States to see if they have it at Bellingham's Target. But my no-shopping ban won't allow it. Sigh. Hopefully there will be stuff around come May? Actually it doesn't really matter since I'll go nuts in Target, regardless if McQueen is still there or not!

Waaah, just found out it's not available at the store closest to me. I will have to wait till I can drive to the one that's an hour away. I hope you gals find the McQueen collection at your local stores. Good luck!

I found this at a local store in MD a few days before it came out and tried on the asymmetrical zig-zag dress. Loved it right away! It's well made, the fabric is nice, and the design is so cool. However, I didn't buy it due to budgetary reasons, but I'm sure someone else will get it and love it!

I saw it today in the store. The only size left in that dress was a 13...and it was like 10 sizes too big. I tried it on anyway, of course! I think it would be cute if it was the right size. (and I love the obi style belt that comes w/it!!!)

As for the rest of the line...it was just okay. For the price, I would rather go to a Marshall's or an outlet store (like Opitzoutlet.com in MN!) that sells higher quality and more unique things for the same (or cheaper) price.

But that's just me...

saw the line today at my local target. when i was in high school or a punky mood in college i mightve considered this stuff, but at 24 with a professional job, i cant get away with wearing this cheap looking 80s throwback stuff. there is a grey tanktop with wide arm borders that i did like though. but a $26 tank top is a little crazy. target is awesome, but i dont buy it for quality!

I was sooo excited about this collection! I ordered about a dozen items online this morning as I was afraid that they would sell out quickly. Then after work I drove to the only store in my area that carries this collection since I was dying to see it in person, especially the one-shoulder zigzag dress which seems to be the centerpiece of the collection.

I must say overall I was disappointed. For the price points much higher than the regular Go International line, neither the quality nor the fit was that great. I tried on a dozen items and the only ones I liked were the one-shoulder dress, the denim jacket, and the one-shoulder top with tattoo print. I was pleased that the dress was actually well made and fit my small frame nicely. My normal size fit me fine and the skirt is not as poofy as it looks in the picture. Definitely a unique design! I wish the shoulder straps were a bit shorter and the price was lower though! I came home and cancelled a bunch of stuff I no longer wanted after seeing them in person.

BTW, if you have AAA membership, you get 10% off at Target.com (not in stores) so take advantage of it!

Just received my dress in the mail yesterday! And I love it! looks so good on! It's less puffy on the sides than on the model. I had to go two sizes up; I usually wear a 7.

I finally got my goods in the mail - I bought the blue tattoo print scarf, the hot pink/black zig zag print scarf, and the black zippered leggings. Both scarves are beautiful (I'm wearing the blue one today :-)), made of silk, and much higher quality than I expected. Not that I thought it'd be awful, and not as luxe as McQueen's silk chiffon scarf, but still really lovely. Haven't tried on the leggings yet but looking forward to it. I'm very impressed and happy with what I have! :-D
