It was a close call between the Tullete Long Sleeve Front Tab Jacket (gorgeous shade of cobalt, side belt, military details and a cute little round collar to die for-what else could one ask for?) and the Printed Cotton Sheen Belted Dress. The latter would probably be my choice on account of seasonal reasons, among others.

1) The print: it is FABULOUS! Equal parts mod, pinup perfection and perhaps (a stretch, i know, but it was my first impression) a truly interesting take on plaid and tartan trends without truly being one or the other.

2) The button and collar detail. Holy crap, cuteness overload!

3) Colour Palette: The white doesn't overwhelm and despite the apparent loudness of the print, the deep pinks combined with the gorgeous tamarisk shades is perfectly balanced with the blue which is not quite crazy bright, but neither a dull or insipid navy blue. The aesthetics of this is kind of driving me crazy. Blame the artist in me.

4) Shape and apparent fit. I can see this working on just about every body type known to man including my own (size 12 hour glass with line-backer shoulders). Cinched at the waist with an adorable tie/bow, cute sleeves, the perfect summer-dress length and just enough flare on the skirt to either wear by itself or go over the top paired with some tulle (no pun intended). It is perhaps the best take on spring wear I've seen in quite a while.
