Target has tapped Carlos Falchi to design its eighth limited edition collection of affordable handbags, reports
WWD. Falchi’s designs will be available in Target stores and online at Target.com from Nov. 1 to Dec. 27. The 13-piece collection will include "faux snakeskin handbags in jewel tones such as plum and teal with contrasting shades of brown, black and gray. Some handbags will utilize collage or patchwork techniques."
Falchi is a Brazilian accessories designer who is famous for his use of exotic skins, intricate patchwork and impeccable craftsmanship—all of which seem impossible to translate to the mass market.
