can people who aren't fans enter the contest? while i'm not the biggest fan, i did watch the movie (on a plane) and thought it was kinda cute. Probably will watch the secnod movie too. but i thought the clothes worn by the other female vampires in the movie were really cool too. i like kristen's laid back style in the movie.

#1.1 Samantha on 2009-06-25 21:21
I love these books... I started reading them
while on vacation in PEI last year when the last book was released. I had blasted through the first two in under a week and needed to get the third. Needless to say, all the hype of the books had definatley caught throughout the island. The third book seemed to be the most popular. I spent two days of my beach vacation visiting every grocery/book/corner store looking for a copy. I didnt get the book until a week later when we made our way into Halifax, and even then I got the 2nd to last copy. Ya, it was pretty traumatic.
#2 G on 2009-06-25 17:41
I love the twilight books and read through them all in a couple of days!
#3 Jenn S on 2009-06-25 18:03
I first read Stephanie Meyer's Host and was intrigued. I picked up the Twilight group and read all four in a weekend! Have yet to see the movie (I have a young child so I don't make it to the movies often), but love the jacket!!
#4 Heather on 2009-06-25 18:10
i love twilight because its the definition of an escapist novel. yes, its not the best piece of literature on the earth. its cheesy and corny and silly - but thats what makes it great. and thats what i need after a day of reading boring academic books.

and edward cullen is dreamy. there. i said it.
#5 emily on 2009-06-25 18:13
Is it bad if I admit I'm probably not the biggest fan? I did love the books, not so much the movie. Everyone was so much more beautiful in my head and the special effects were horrible. But I do love the jacket and hope I haven't completely ruined my chances of winning!
#6 Amber (Homepage) on 2009-06-25 18:26
At first I was resistant about "Twilight," I mean afterall, I'm not a tween girl anymore and from all I knew, it was just a story about a girl and a vampire in a forbidden love. So why doesn't he just bite her and get it over with?

But after some convincing (by my male boss, ironically), I picked up my first copy...within 20-pages I was hooked. And I'm not talking I'll-just-read-it-when-I-have-free-time, I'm talking I would avoid going out JUST TO read it. The complexity, the intricacies, the interwoven and detailed storylines all tied together to serve a purpose. Bella was relatable, she was ME, and Edward was her one vice, the one thing she couldn't figure out and have. The first-person reading showed her inner-thoughts, her awkwardness.

The love-stories between her and Edward, her and Jacob, and their struggles to fit as a group were amazingly relatable as well, in a super-natural world.

I wouldn't call myself a "Twihard" fan, but I am definitely a strong fan who is looking forward to New Moon's direction.
#7 Stephanie H (Homepage) on 2009-06-25 18:31
I never knew i would care about vampires so much! A co-worker and i were talking about the incredible popularity of the twilight books and movies. He said his wife read them and was hooked. I was not convinced but he let me borrow twilight. I became a twilight addict and saw the movie by myself because I couldn't wait for anyone! After I saw the movie I went directly to the nearest bookstore, to buy the rest of the series. I read the rest in a few days and was so sad when I had nothing else to read. I love the movie almost as much as the books. They did a wonderful job. I should mention if i don't win this contest I will likely buy the jacket myself! See you at the new moon premiere. :-)
#8 Cassandra Cauich on 2009-06-25 18:51
Me me me! I have downloaded the ebook to my work laptop - so that I can re-read it over and over at work while appearing to be busy :-D
#9 Jenn on 2009-06-25 18:56
because....
I have all the books, and have read them all in increasing order (the first 3 times, the second 4, the third 5 and so on), I have watched the movie, as of now, 8 times, I have Twilight posters all over my bedroom.
And simply all I can talk of is twilight :]
#10 Christie on 2009-06-25 19:08
I love the Twilight series and movie. Everything from the score to the cinematography. The entire story brings back memories of all of the children's fantasy stories that are very rare and few now. :-)
#11 Nohemy m on 2009-06-25 19:08
I too read the Twilight saga in a matter of days. I first resisted the series, considering it a teen pop culture phenomenon, but after a few pages, I was hooked! I'm definitely not a teen, but I'm a sucker for vampires and romance--the two together, well, I couldn't help myself... I would wear Bella's jacket and sport Twilight pride in style! I'm also starting my first year of teaching, and I would definitely wear this jacket to school. I'm sure many of my students would identify its origins! I love BB Dakota jackets too; they are reasonably priced and always include cute details. BB Dakota Jacket + Twilight--it can't get much better! We can’t all have Edward, but this jacket can allow us to live vicariously through Bella. Oh, and I run with vampires ;-).
#12 Erin A on 2009-06-25 20:14
Hey-
I love love love this book series. I got hooked fast - I resisted for a long time and as soon as I cracked the first book I couldn't put it down. It sucked me it - I have 2 young kids and I basically neglected them until I was done with the series - think my husband was jealous of the books too. Loved the movie too - it was cast well.

#13 Rachel on 2009-06-25 20:43
I'm doing this for my student, Milan, who I think is Twilight's biggest fan. (she's in junior high and doesn't have her own email). She has many of the "love" passages memorized and most of the books highlighted, can tell you the name of the chapter a particular scene is in- for all 4 books- if you need a refresh, has a journal where she has written down her favorite quotes and passages which she regularly reads and has the uncanny ability to somehow tie Twilight to any conversation we are having. Twilight is her world, and I think she's the perfect person to win the jacket. I'm a fan, but she is by far the biggest one I know.
#14 Emilia on 2009-06-25 20:46
Ever since the first book came out I've been reading Twilight! I love the book and the movie was great too! The jacket looks great :-)
#15 Alice (Homepage) on 2009-06-25 20:52
Oh my Edward! I love this series and I cannot wait for New Moon to arrive! I am such a huge fan!
#16 Nic on 2009-06-25 20:52
While I wasn't completely drawn in by the books, I must admit that I saw the Twilight movie and became hooked from that point on because Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson, and all the rest of the cast just looked so awesome! I especially loved the casual and yet eccentricity of Bella's clothes, so I really hope I do get this jacket to give me a bit of Twilight magic to carry around with me wherever I go :-)
#17 Ivy on 2009-06-25 20:53
I love the series! I'm not a "tween" but can relate to the love, loss, and finding oneself that the series expouses. Plus, Edward IS the perfect guy, period.
#18 Jen on 2009-06-25 21:01
I'm not the biggest fan or whatever. But, it is a fun bit of fluff and I enjoyed it. The jacket is very cute!
#19 Amber on 2009-06-25 21:19
I'm the biggest fan of Twilight because it's the first book series and subsequent movie that made me feel like a teenager again. I loved it so much I use the books as yoga blocks :-)

Seriously though, Edward is completely cute and the series is very entertaining.
#21 Lauren on 2009-06-25 21:27
I'm not really a huge twilight fan but I am a huge clothing fan and a fan of pacific northwest style :-)
#22 Mel on 2009-06-25 21:36
The character of Bella in Twilight is the coffee bean and I am the brew. There is something about her sensibly fallible, emotional disposition that is abundant in my makeup. Her steadfast love for Edward, and Stephenie Meyer's definition of Edward as perfection amaze me. Edward is an ingenious combination of ideal man and formidable source of situational irony and climax: a literary feat. Twilight as a book and film series is enticing for its rare ability to gain the masses yet maintain its transcendent authenticity. To read Twilight is to have the luxury to believe it was written for you only, because you can personally interpret the characters as people in your real life. And if we were not already as thoroughly in love with them as possible, then the film, thanks largely to Catherine Hardwicke's erudite direction, artistically enlisted us to Team Edward (or Jacob). As for myself, I've made plans to move to Forks, Washington so that I can wear all kinds of outer clothing apt for the mysterious, elusive aura procured there, not to mention to maybe come across some uncannily beautiful... people.
#23 Julia on 2009-06-25 21:58
I LOVE TWILIGHT!
My little sister got me hooked. At first I didn't want to read the book. I got bored one day and I ended up finishing the whole saga in a week. I took my sister to watch the movie and she loved the way Bella dresses. Casual but cute!
#24 cherie on 2009-06-25 22:02
Not sure if this qualifies me for the biggest fan....but I read the saga in the span of 3 days. And have re-read each multiple times since. Maybe that gives me the "Voracious Reader" award! Love the jacket, though!
#25 Julia (Homepage) on 2009-06-25 22:26
i love twilight, at work we have movie stills posted up in the back room, we all chat twilight cast like we know them. the books are incredible, and are such easy and beautiful reads. it would be terrible to just watch the movie and think thats it, the books are so good. edward and bella have an amazing connection, and how the forth book ends is just epic. i wont make this a spoiler, but if you havent read the books, DO IT. they can not be put down once you start them. the movie is a feast for the eyes, and is so great. i'm glad they got the characters pretty much right on, it makes things seem so real. the twilight series is a whirlwind and will sweep up anyone who gets caught inside of it!
#26 ashley on 2009-06-26 00:32
I'm not a Twilight fan, but when I saw the movie I really liked the jacket and I think it's perfect for fall.
#27 Stacy Z on 2009-06-26 00:33
Though I would not consider myself a fan girl
I would say i am the biggest fan because though I did not want to jump on the bandwagon like everyone else but my mother bought me the book and I ended up really liking them. I own all books you can see the wear and tear in them. I also own the movie and have watched it quiet a few times. I can't quote the book or the movie but i still love them none the less. And i love that jacket. I do not think this is the greatest book of all time. But i feel for them i can say i have been in her place. Being torn between multiple things.

#34 Katharina on 2009-06-26 05:53
I didn't read the books but I enjoyed the movies. I am a big vampire fan and look forward to the sequels.
#35 teresa on 2009-06-26 07:22
i wasn't a fan of the first movie, but i really enjoyed the books and hope the second movie's better. i think stephanie does a good job portraying realistic characters with genuine feelings that are relatable for people of all ages. i know...realistic characters? but it's about vampires! but she did a really cool job incorporating what could be seen as a hidden world with vampires living among humans (kind of like rowling did with wizards in harry potter). as for the movie, i enjoyed the chemistry between the actors and the beauty of the photography. all the scenes in the woods were so incredible to look at! and bella's style, understated but still fashionable (like the jacket being given away), really appealed to me. laid-back and simple, but still kind of elegant. all around, twilight works for me!
#36 dani on 2009-06-26 07:43
I am the biggest twilight fan because I think the books are a million times better than the movies. I think that shows a true fan! When I am in the middle of reading the series, all I think about during the day is going back to my bed and reading!
#37 Sarah on 2009-06-26 08:12

I loved the movie. And vampires are just sexy!
#41 BrandyU on 2009-06-26 09:41
I am absolutely obsessed with Twilight! The amount that I love the series is actually embarrassing. I read all 4 books in a week and have reread them multiple times since. I go on Stephenie Meyer's fan website a lot and have even read her pdf version of "Midnight Sun"-- the first book rewritten from Edward's point of view! I also love Edward Cullen more than I can say and often badger my boyfriend to be more like him! And I agree with Jenns; if vampires were real I would definitely become one!
#42 Diane on 2009-06-26 09:42
Loved the books, but the movie was a little lack luster. However, I do really like the jacket!
#43 Megan (Homepage) on 2009-06-26 09:48
I am the biggest fan because I was able to mash my favorite hobby (rock climbing) with this incredible story but traveling to Portland where they shot the forest scenes and bouldered (climbing without rope) all around that area. It was so lush and gorgeous!
#44 allison (Homepage) on 2009-06-26 09:49
I think I'm a big fan because the story was different. Even though it was about mythical creatures, it was strangely relatable.
#45 Alexis on 2009-06-26 10:19
I am a huge fan of Twilight. I don't know what it is about vampires and romance but it works because it really fuels your imagination when you read the books. The emotion and angst of the two (Bella and Edward) are captured by Meyer in the most addicting way :-). Thanks for doing this giveaway!
#46 Sara on 2009-06-26 10:35
Twilight is an amazing story and Stephenie Meyer is a great story teller. I loved Twilight because you literally get lost in this world of make believe, vampires, and a rainy little town.
#47 Nicole on 2009-06-26 11:11
I truly believe that I am Twilight's biggest fan. I began reading the books after discovering them in my neighborhood library. I fell in love with them, and soon realized that checking them out from the library was not enough-- I had to own them! I finished the series and greatly anticipated the movie, which did not let me down (Robert Pattinson--HOT!!!). I can't wait for "New Moon" to be released. I have posters, t-shirts, and bumper stickers. My friends even consider me the primary authority on all things Twilight. I have never been this into a book/movie series. But there's something about Twilight that intrigues me and pulls me in. I love it!
#48 Briana E on 2009-06-26 11:14
I LOVED the series so much that I read all 4 books in 5 days... twice. :-)
#49 Alice (Homepage) on 2009-06-26 11:53
I HATE Twilight - think I am the only female on Earth that thinks the writing is terrible and the movie was even worse than the books. But I know everyone else loves it...I DO like that jacket though but due to the above, I don't think I qualify lol.

I have to say BB, this contest is genius marketing :-)
#50 Wanderlusting (Homepage) on 2009-06-26 12:17

#52 Trude (Homepage) on 2009-06-26 12:35
Cute jacket! I love it; I want it!

I would only consider myself a fan of Twilight because it's fun to laugh at. The writing is atrocious! The movie is horrible because the books are horrible; what script was there to look at? It's completely unbelievable and the characters are shallow. But I did laugh my head off watching the first movie, so maybe I'll watch the second one, too. :-)
#53 Hilary on 2009-06-26 13:11
Haven't really gotten into Twilight, but the jacket is super adorable!

I discovered the Twilight books after seeing the movie on DVD a couple of months ago. I'm not much of a reader, but I couldn't put them down. I blew through all four books in two weeks. They were fantastic. I can't get enough of the movie, the books, Edward's smokin' abs, and Bella's kickbutt clothes!
#56 Susan (Homepage) on 2009-06-26 14:08
Oh em gee! A jacket from Twilght! It's like being there!
Now I can spend my nights wearing Bella's jacket as I sit in my Edward shrine. That way he'll love me. Kinda like I WAS Bella. Like that dude wore other people... who was it... Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs.. lol idk.

I AM the ultra-super-mega-most-awesomefull fan ever!
Omg that was almost as many adjectives as Stephane Meyer would use! She would be soooo proud. I love reading all of her descriptive-ness. Not a sentence goes by where I don't know the tension of Edward's muscles or the exact shade of his eyes!

I looooove how perfect the characters are. Their personalities are such a blank slate I can imagine them how I want!

Well g2g!

Love Twilight! Love the Jacket!!!
#65 Jenifer on 2009-06-27 02:41
Kristen Stewart is such a stunner. That girl is smokin' hot, and I would like her wardrobe. I saw Twilight in theaters a while back with friends and thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the cheesy effects, the akwardly delivered lines. I laughed both at and with the film and appreciated it for the cotton candy fluff it is. And while I firmly believe that real vampires don't glitter, it is important to have fun at the movies. Also, that is a cute jacket!
#66 Kristie on 2009-06-27 03:00
I'm the biggest fan, not only because I read the first book before everyone else, and that I read all the releases in a day, and that I went to see the movie the first day it was out, but because everyone who knows me knows i loveee the books and incessantly teases me about it.

:-)
#67 Courtney on 2009-06-27 09:38
So I wouldn't say I am the biggest fan but I do like the Twilight saga - cute, fast read, and I suppose if I found one, I would marry an Edward Cullen!
#68 Moran on 2009-06-27 12:51
Oh, Twilight. I'm not going to argue that it isn't exactly literature, but it did help me escape this awful past semester :-) Definitely a fun read! Though the movie (from what I've seen) seems... awkward? Maybe that's just me and the parts I've seen.
#69 Ashley on 2009-06-27 15:26
I love the movie so much I watched it twice in a row the first night I got it, and every single night while I fall asleep since then!

#72 Midnite on 2009-06-27 16:53
I breezed through the first three books in a few days on vacation, and waited outside the bookstore at midnight for the release of the 4th book last summer.

I also waited in line to see the movie at its midnight release, even though the weather was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. And when it was released on DVD, I drove around to get it that night at midnight to watch it a few times in a row that night.

I absolutely LOVE Twilight, and BB Dakota pieces are wonderful, I would love the chance to win this Bella jacket. Thanks so much for the great giveaway!
#73 Kyra P on 2009-06-27 19:16

I LOVE TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#75 Kelsey on 2009-06-28 01:01
I am twilights biggest fan because i am completely pbsessed. I reda all the books in less than 2 days each while doing my daily things and taking care of a toddler. people call me to answer questions about the books and i even made a scrapbook about twilight which will be followed by one for new moon, eclipse, and breaking dawn!!
#76 Jennie on 2009-06-28 14:41
Well, I must say, I'm probably not THE "biggest fan". I'm sure there's someone out there who is a fanatic!!

I can say though, in my own eyes I believe I'm a very big fan.
I am a huge fan of the Twilight book series more than the movie itself.
A few days after the first book was released (Twilight) I was just roaming around the book store and once I read a few pages I KNEW I had to buy it!
Right away I fell in love with it!

I felt as if I was Bella, like I was seeing everything through her eyes.
It's so amazing and remarkable how much Stephenie made the series to be somewhat relate-able. I for some reason knew back then that the series was going to be a big phenomenal hit!

You know it's an amazzzzing book to say the least, when you can feel so many different emotions by only just reading it!

I love how it's a love story, the whole thing is just such a phenomenon. It's not cliche at all - like most love stories are. And then to add vampires into the whole thing.. wow.
It really does get your imagination going! It makes you believe in these things and to actually have hope that 'vampires' exist. Haha funny sounding. But really!!

I don't know if ranting on and on about how much of an amazing author Stephenie Myer is, will prove how much of a big fan I am or not. But at least I can just share how I feel about her.
She really is a remarkable woman.
I thank her every day for making the series - because in some odd ways; it really did change my life a lot.

It taught me to look at things from a completely different perspective.

And the MOVIE!!! Wow, completely amazing. I can't get over it.
If I was in control and could change anything about it - I wouldn't.
All the actors are phenomenal!
They totally fit the part.

Watching it gives me such goosebumps, on how real the whole situation seems. I know once I see New Moon it's going to tear my heart to shreds. But the ending is what will help me make it through it - hahaha. When Edward comes back into it! :-D

I don't want to sound too much of a 'twihard' but I literally own every single piece of Twilight merch there is. :-P My wallpaper is honest to God posters of Twilight, Twilight related things, the characters.
- Twilight fans, you'd love my room! It really is a sight to see.
I don't think that could even prove how loyal and dedicated I am to the whole thing though. I really do love the whole concept of it all.
I'm so glad Stephenie made the series! She's so amazing!

And thank you so much for giving us all the opportunity to enter for this! :-)
#77 Emily on 2009-06-29 01:58
I managed to read all four books over four days, I was so ridiculously addicted. Loved it!! Loved the movie too!! Robert Pattinson's good looks helped in that realm. :-)

While I did love the twilight movie I am more a fan of the books. But, I am in love with Bella's style in the movie. Immediately after i saw the movie, I got on the internet and wasted hours searching for this jacket. no luck in finding it though..until now!! Wish me luck!

I am seriously the biggest Twilight fan ever. I was a huge fan even before all of the commotion. I remember dying for the fourth book to come out, I literally went to the midnight release party for it! I also went to the midnight premire of Twilight. Me and my friends went and saw it 8 times in theatres just because we were praying it would make enough money for them to make New Moon into a movie! I also got the DVD at midnight AND got the soundtrack the day it came out. Did I mention I have about 7 posters of Twilight up in my room? That would be SOOOO AMAZING to have the SAME kind of jacket that Bella Swan wore EEEK!!! I literally cried when I saw the trailor for New Moon on the MTV music awards. I am such a twihard and proud of it! Thanks so much for letting us enter this contest!! loves : )

I just love the books and movie. It is such a romantic story and it makes you wish vampires existed!

Ok well let's see...
1. I've read all the books at least 8 times.
2. I've watched the movie endlessly.
3. I made my own crystal heart Bella Bracelet and whittled my own tiny Jacob-wolf.
4. My Blackberry Pearl cell phone is adorned with Twilight ringtones, Twilight quotes for email notifications, Cullen Crest wallpaper, and a hand-made (by me) Twilight cell phone charm with a green forest tree (for Forks), a Swavorski crystal heart (for Edward), amber stones and red gems.
5. The back of the Blackberry is covered now in Swavorski crystals forming the Cullen crest! Again, it took me about 2 days straight, but it's done.
6. I dressed up as Alice for the Twilight movie premiere.
7. I dressed up as Bella covered in feathers for Halloween.
8. I made my own pop-tab bracelet like Kristen Stewarts.
9. I post yummy daily shots of Edward/Robert Pattinson for all my Twilight followers on Twitter.
10. I'm just plain obsessed. My sister and I discuss it constantly! :-)

Thanks to you and ChickDownTown.com for hosting such a fabulous giveaway!!
All the best and good luck to everyone,
Jami

I love Twilight... the fantasy world of vampires and werewolves. It was an opening to a whole new realm of vampire series novels, and if this movie hadn't been blown up, I would not have pursued reading further to other novels. It is an escape to a land of romance and impossibilities that don't occur in reality that hits the spot especially in our country's current situation. We all look to something fabulous and these books were the quintessential chic flics in words. Cheesy but lovely and easily swept me off my feet. : ) I see myself in Bella, as do most chics... (reason as to why she is the main character) - she represents alot of teens and many can relate. But Alice was one of my favorite characters: Super positive and free spirited.. sorta like me. But I have to admit.. im a bit of a clutz like Bella. I can't say Im the biggest fan, but I can say I truly appreciated the series and am looking forward for the movies.

Twilight has it all. Complicated love story, fantasy, hot actors. How could you go wrong?

And everyone knows the best love stories involve a complicated, bruting male lead. : )

I just have to tell you this movie is awesome and what makes me fan of it is all the trama of the movie, is an interesting story of love and romance, suspence and they really use details as the dialogue and the clothing to give the clear idea of what getting in love is.a love that is almost impossible...but sometimes what is impossible for others is possible for love...
