Would You Wear: Message Tees?

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria wore a cute a stylish message tee to the Ken Paves hair salon in LA.

Message tees, while nothing new, seem to ebb and flow in terms of popularity. But one thing's for sure: Message tees help you make a statement, whether it's expressing your political views or showing off your wild side. I thought I had "outgrown" message tees, but lately I find myself strangely attracted to wordy tops (like this one). I think there's a message tee out there for everyone, you just have to find the right message (duh!).

How about you, are you a fan of wearing message tees? Who stocks the best message tees in town?

Where to Shop for the Best Message Tees on a Budget (They're pretty much all budget-friendly! Gotta love that.)

I like it only in moderation (maybe small words with graphic colors) not if it screams out at me!

The idea of them is all right, but most of the ones I've seen kinda suck. I'd prefer to make my own, like back in my early-college days. Additionally, I wouldn't make a habit of wearing them: like the comment above me said, "...only in moderation." ;-)

Depends on the message! A subtle word or too maybe...I would prefer it if I myself made it though (as I have done before).

Funny, you're the second person to say you'd wear one you made yourself! My fave message tee of all time was one I made that read "Easily distracted" across the chest. :-)

Haha! I made a similar one that said "Where is your mind?", right at boob-level.

No "message" T's for me. Just too “look at what my opinion is”. I’m private. But arty graphic T's - absolutely.,

Not for me. I'm wearing a shirt with writing on it today for the first time in AGES, but its only message is "Minneapolis, City of Lakes."

I'd rather express my opinions with actions than sloganized on my clothes.

Yes, as long as they are rated G! My favorite is from Bitten that says "Fashion is not a Luxury".

I think there is a fine line between trashy and actually expressing an opinion. The only message tee I have is one that says Se Habla Espanol bc of the singer Juanes, so it shows my pride for my language.

Don't forget alloy.com. I know they kind of carry "junior-y" stuff, but they have some cute T's and other items that won't break the bank. ^_^

It really depends on the font, graphic, and message for me. For the most part though, I think I've out grown this trend.

I still love a great graphic Tee. I never really was into the "message" Tee. Although now that I'm older I've gotten much pickier about what kind of graphic Tee I will wear.

I used to hate statement tees because i thought they were juvenile and kinda made me self conscious because I would see people staring at them. But then I found a great shirt at American Eagle and I fell in love with it. Now I think you should find the right shirt for you with the right statement. Everyone is entitled to buy something they love. But don't buy too many that your whole closet are statement tees. I love American Eagle statement tees they're cute :-)

P.S. I love Eva's shirt!
