Poll: Are Your Purchases Influenced by Designer-Inspired Styles?

I chose "no impact" because I tend to think of it as a sort of bonus, if anything at all. For instance, stylistically, I prefer the Aurora shoe to the Deborah. It has nothing to do with the brand or what designer the style was modeled off of, I just think the DVs look a little classier and suit my personal style better. At the same time, the style of the Aurora has been wildly popular this summer (I admit to owning a pair from GoJane that look similar) and can be seen all over the place. It's entirely possible that due to media, promotions, fashion blogs, and constant online window shopping, I'm subconsciously drawn to items that are more obviously designer-inspired. On the other, other hand, I do have respect for things that aren't blatantly inspired by anyone or anything. It's nice to have some interesting, unique pieces.
