Four Buckle Booties: Would You Wear One?

Shoes that pay homage to the motorcycle boot are cropping up everywhere for fall. Translation: Lots of black leather and buckles! I think this highly-adaptable trend works well on just about everything, from sexy heels (#3) to everyday walking shoes (#2). How about you, would you wear one of the moto-inspired buckle booties shown here?

The second pair is cute, sleek but does not fit my style and my current purchases for fall winter 09. I have been eyeing #4.. the AO for Payless. They are lovely and would look great with my bootcut jeans but yowza... the heel looks like its 4.5"! Not practical.

Payless is seriously stepping up their shoe game! Even Jeffrey Campbell knocked off those Madison Biker boots (and made them with real leather)!

Jeffrey Campbell didn't "copy" Alice + Olivia for Payless. Both JC and A+O were "inspired" by Marc Jacobs.

I would definitely wear number 3. In fact, I see a mall trip in my immediate future.

Funny- I tried on a similar pair last night at Target but just wasn't sure when I looked in the mirror so I put them back!

Yum! I'd wear #4 in a heartbeat!

I own #2 and they're comfy and cute with skinny black jeans. I love #4 but they may be a little too frankensteiny for me since I'm pretty small of a person. I ended up buying the payless alice + olivia sweater wedge boot instead (but plan on cutting off the sweater part). They're a copy of a stella mccartney boot from awhile back!

You know, if I were still in h.s. or college I probably would. But for the way I dress now a better investment for me are the Frye "Maxine Campus" boots I'm saving for. :-) (Plus I just don't have the closet space anymore and must be more selective about the shoes I buy.)

I'm just not sure about any of these, to be honest ... Maybe #1 or #3. I don't think I could pull off this look. But I'm sure there are some fabulous ladies out there who could rock it!

I think I would wear number 2

I was so surprised that the two I liked most were from Payless and Charlotte Russe, stores I would not usually venture into while shopping. I think this is a great website for pointing out that you don't have to spend a fortune to look good. Thanks!

Love. It's #1 for me.

I have #2. They're almost exactly like a pair of buckled boots I bought in London waaay back in 1989 for a mere 27 pounds. The toe was really pointy. Those boots were HOT and I used them for many years.

#2 is gorgeous~

I have both #2 and #4.

If anyone's planning on getting the JC's, buy half a size larger than you normally wear. I'm having such a hard time stretching them out 'cause they're a really tight fit.

As for the Madison's, they're SUPER comfy, I LOVE THEM!

I would prefer #1, because I appreciate the style. I also think that these shoes will actually match my favourite jeans!

I don't know if I would wear one of the buckle booties but I am definitely in the market for some cute fall booties.

I've been considering #2 for a while now, but I have more of a "need" for a more simple black bootie with a mid-heel. I do think that these are versatile though, and a cute way to toughen up an outfit.

Just wondering if you know the name of those boots (ankle boots) that GAP have on their cords pants model this season. Would love to find out if there are similar looking pairs out there in natural leather.

Here's the link to the boots that I'm talking about. http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=48601&vid=1&pid=676874&scid=676874002
