LC Lauren Conrad Collection for Kohls: Two More Pics

LC Lauren Conrad Collection for Kohls

Kohls passed along two more pics of the new LC Lauren Conrad Collection, which is slowly rolling out in some stores and at kohls.com. Above, LC is modeling the boyfriend blazer ($60), striped tee ($30), and boyfriend jeans; below, she's sporting the striped boyfriend cardigan ($44), seamless camisole ($20), and skinny jeans ($54). I'm a fan of her casual California style, so I'm eager to see this stuff in person. Has anyone bought anything from this collection yet?

I think it looks a bit old-lady and boring. Rather surprising.

I heart this collection! Yes, some of the shirts are roomy, but who can't put a belt around the waist to give it some shape? I feel like her collection is all about versatility and I found most of her clothes to have a lot of structure. I just got a pair of her skinny jeans and they are incredible!! So comfortable and are NOT low cut so my crack doesn't hang out in the back and they have a tiny bit of give to them, they feel more like spandex than jeans. I also got the beige cardigan pictured above about 2 months ago and wear it ALL THE TIME! My boyfriend asks is I don't have any other clothes in my closet. I also purchased the black blazer with grey pinstripe interior and it fits like a glove. I can easily take any of the items and dress them up or down. You just have to be creative with your clothes! If you love a print or material but it looks like a tent? Grab a waist belt OR a pencil skirt and tuck it in. Work with your curves, not against them.

Al in all, love it!!

I actually bought the dress with the brushstrokes on it in teal.. have yet to wear it out, but I paired it with a black belt and it looks great. What I love about it is the back of the dress has a zipper and is scoop neck. In the winter I'll pair with with a white cardigan, black belt, black tights, and black oxfords :-)

I liked the rest of her stuff.. looks/feels like quality material.. some stuff fit funny.. just not right for my body type. But her cardigans looked really cute. I considered trying one on but I just can't afford to shell out $50 for it :-(

Can you tell me how they fit? Do they run junior small or actual lady sizes, like Express? Thank you! :-)
#2.1 tami on 2009-09-28 13:37 (Reply)
It runs very large. Probably if you are used to a medium you should probably try an XS. It's that big of a discrepancy.

Of course I don't mind! I love being featured :-P

LOVE that hat and cardy LC is wearing that second pic. Might have to copy that!

I would love to see how the boyfriend blazer fits. If her stuff is quality material, I might just have to buy! :-)

I went to Kohl's last night to see if my store had the collection out yet. Unfortunately, it did not! I was so disappointed, I really want to see this collection in person!

30$ for a tee shirt at kohls? Ehhhh Ill pass.
#7 killa kate on 2009-09-25 19:21 (Reply)
i love that cardigan...she's really not doing anything groundbreaking...but who cares, the stuff is cute!

i definitely know that i will not pay full price ;-) i think kohls (along with jcp) is the worst for marking up stuff waaay higher than they plan to sell it, as they ALWAYS have some sort of sale.

(ps, is it just me or does that watercolor chiffon top remind you of the chiffon top from the anna sui for target line?)

I just don't know about Kohl's clothes. They don't impress me and they kind of seem generic and low quality. Ah harsh I know, but I expect more from a popular store.

i love the boyfriend cardigan but it is way too expensive... wish i were rich!

I was just at Kohls today and picked up some really amazing work clothes from Apt. 9 and Axcess, because of their Anniversary sale I saved $180!!! I looked at the LC clothes and noticed that everything was HUGE and LOOSE. No structure at all. I might go back and get the beige cardigan, but the pockets are so funny on it.
BB-The Elle collection at Kohl's has a faux fur vest that I tried on, but thought I should sleep on it, before I invested in such a funky trend, any tips on what I could combine it with to make the purchase more reasonable?

Haven't seen it yet, but curious to check it out -- the sheath dress looks cute online.

I agree with the fact that it is too overpriced and I believe we can definitely find similar looks elsewhere, and they will probably be more form fitting.

I was at Kohl's yesterday and checked out her collection, which was in a strange spot in the store honestly. Anyway, I wasn't as impressed as I first was. I like the pics, but I never did find that one purple blouse that alot of people liked from that one round of pics.

Everything was very big / oversized, that striped t-shirt she is wearing in the first pic looked like a tent in person, it wasn't fitted in the least and a medium looked about the size of an XL - for $30. The BF blazer looked cute, but the fabric was a strange kind of material, kind of shiny, looked like it would attract lint from a mile away. Honestly, I think you could find a better quality one at Gap for about the same price or less with their sales. And quite frankly it's all over priced.

I don't mean to sound so negative about it, I like the pictures and concept (I'm all about the loose BF style lately), but in person it just doesn't meet my expectations for the price.

I was in Kohls on Tuesday and finally (after walking all over) found this stuff. It's in a horrible location. Some of it was cute, but it is all "oversized". How many oversized casual items do you really need in your closet? I did like some of the pieces, though. Also, it's pretty expensive for Kohls, but I'm sure it will go on sale. Seems like everything there eventually goes on sale.
On the plus, the Vera Wang collection was 30-60% off. :-)

I am waiting for the collection to go on sale, but I will pick up the black/white brushstroke sheath. I tried it on in store and it is really modern with a great exposed zipper in the back. The dolman top was cute too.

The collection has some oversized items, skinny jeans, and basic cardigans. Basically, it has a california cool / LA boho feel.

Not bad, but I will wait for the usual Kohls discount before pouncing.

I can't wait for her collection to actual make it to a Kohl's within an hours jaunt! Even more excited for it to go on sale! :-) I love the easiness of the collection. Nothing groundbreaking or out of this world, but I think this works for everyday style.

I was at Kohls today and tried on some stuff from her collection. I love Lauren Conrad's style, but I was disappointed by the clothes. The tee from the picture was like a tent on the body, the pockets on the cardigan that stuck out ruined it for me, and the plum colored blouse was pretty cute, but not worth the money. This stuff needs to be lowered priced, especially if it's going to be sold at Kohls, and the it needs to fit better.

I saw a feature on the collection in one of my magazines (I think it was SHAPE?), but it seems as if it is all a little overpriced for Kohls. I am glad she has taken the time and opportunity to create a more affordable line, but it still seems like it might not be the best fit for Kohls. I guess if it is supposed to be like the Vera Wang collection then it might workout better. Just don't expect it all the be cheap when you go shopping for it.

I haven't personally had a chance to check it out, is it decent fabric and quality workmanship?

For anyone who can't find the Lauren Conrad collection in their local Kohl's...

I was told that the collection was only going to be in stores in California and would hit stores elsewhere early next year. Anyone else having trouble/luck elsewhere?

I'd really rather check it out in person that order it online. Thanks!

I found the collection in my local target in SW washington, it's probably in Portland too.

I recently bought some clothing from her line at kohls. I got a dress that fit well (a little snug) without paying attention to the size. When i got home I realized it was an 8. No big deal, just not my usual size. I am a 4 maybe 6 depending on the line. Any idea if this is a new change for the line? I am very curious why it would be so small and labeled an 8?

Thanks!
