Earlier this week while prancing through my favorite place on earth (the mall), my eye was caught by a lovely pink sign in the Victoria's Secret window advertising their new line of Pink collection scents.
Normally brought to tears by their idea of fragrance, I decided to check them out in order to write a nice scathing article...but, oops! I was totally wrong. These new Pink collection scents from Victoria's Secret are surprisingly pleasant! Even my poor guinea pig boyfriend enjoyed them.
Pink perfumes are cute, they come in fun brightly colored clear bottles, and are pretty darn cheap. They are very Escada-ish, which makes them appealing as Escada scents have a way of being very crowd pleasing. Granted, they're actually called "body mists," but oh well! At 2/$20 I'm not complaining seeing as I paid $60 for my last bottle of Escada.
The three scents are "Sweet & Tart," "Fruity & Bright," and "Fresh and Clean." I loved them all, and they all make you feel very—what's the word—pink!

the body mist is not as overpowering as cologne, but lasts just as long.
a big disappointment for me was L'Occitaine's colognes. they last like 20 minutes and they're not cheap. a better brand is Caswell & Massey, the soap people. they make a great Lime fragrance (i think it's around $28), clean and citrus-y and guys can wear it too without smelling like they're marinated.
Stepping into Merz is like stepping back in time. Feels so luxurious just to be in their shop! It's also the perfect place to pick up any and all gifts year-round.
the hunt for the diamond in the rough scent excites me, no matter the venue. but i'm often turned off by prices that on par with designer brands, so i only splurge when it is a must have.
if any of you see it at bloomie's or saks (marshall field's used to carry it way back in the 80's and 90's) let me know bcuz i can't find it anywhere any more.

The writer compares the scent to the paintings of Matisse! That, and your rave recommendation made us really want to try it, but it appears the perfume has been discontinued If anyone knows where to get it, let us know!
And all those scents sound great ladies! We can't wait to hunt them out and find them ourselves!
