She may be an obsessive germaphobe with an unhealthy crush on a married coworker, but McKinley High School teacher
Emma Pillsbury knows how to dress! Here are some style lessons you can learn from the adorably quirky character played by actress Jayma Mays, who stars in the new musical-comedy
Glee on Fox.

Create drama by bringing together subtly different tones of the same color, like a lemon chiffon blouse, canary yellow cardigan and yellow ochre skirt.

Layer a cropped jacket over a long-sleeve turtleneck sweater for an unexpected office-chic look.

Add color and texture to any basic outfit with an embellished cardigan, an essential element in Emma's wardrobe. This one seems to channel this season's military vibe especially well.

Make a simple sweater and skirt combo pop with a vintage-y enamel flower bead necklace.

Try repeating a motif, such as a bow, within the same ensemble. Just keep the color palette unified so things don't get too busy.

Invest in timeless classics, like figure-flattering pencil skirts, strappy Mary Janes and crisp white shirts, the building blocks of Emma's closet.

Pick up a vintage sweater clip to inject some retro fabulousness into your everyday wardrobe.

Play up your softer side with a feminine tie-neck blouse and lovely lavender cardigan.

Go beyond black and gray with a punchy plaid blazer that's perfect for work.

Finish your look with the perfect accessories, like a homespun floral pin, an arty statement necklace, a beaded bracelet or a vintage watch.
you should watch mad men. i watch for the furniture and the clothes
same goes for gossip girl (my guilty pleasure)
I do agree, a bit, with MEP, that her style is a bit over-the-top ... Perhaps a bit costumey, but so many aspects of it could be incorporated into anyone's wardrobe. I especially love the statement necklaces and punchy colors!
