Supermodel turned designer/TV personality Heidi Klum has teamed up with denim label Jordache Jeans to produce a new capsule collection called
Heidi Klum by Jordache.
The initial 20-piece collection will emphasize premium denim, which retails for $140 to $170, as well as blouses, luxury knit tops, sundresses and embellished tops for $80 to $250.
The line will launch in April exclusively at Bloomingdales.
Not sure we should be admitting this, but we thought Jordache went out of business years ago. But as we quickly learned from
Wikipedia, "although Jordache's popularity had declined in the late 1990s, it continues to manufacture jeans—among other clothing and brands. … Jordache Enterprises also manufactures private label denim for well-known companies, including Gap, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's, and Abercrombie & Fitch, among others."
Who knew? Well, not us. But now we do.
As for yet another pricey celebrity denim line...all's we can say is "meh."
