During a recent trip to Zara, I fell in love with a cream colored faux-fur gilet (that's French for a sleeveless jacket). It looked like a shaggy, oversized vest made from the pelt of the Abominable Snowman, but I loved it just the same. I could totally picture myself wearing it a la Rachel Zoe in an irreverent, crazy-rich-lady sort of way. Sure, I might frighten small children, but it would be warm, unique and fabulous—in my head. My sister, ever the voice of sartorial reason, talked me out of buying it (when she said it looked like roadkill, my fair gilet quickly lost its charm)...but I'm having second thoughts.
