Forever 21 Lauches New Swimwear Line

Forever 21 Swimwear Collection

Forever 21 has just launched their new swimwear collection, and there are some really cute pieces. There's a limited selection of styles available online, plus more styles in stores. Prices range from $12.80 each for bikini tops and bottoms to $22.80 for a monokini. I never felt it was reasonable to pay a lot of money for a tiny scrap of fabric that just barely covers your lady parts, so I think beach babes should definitely check out this collection for inexpensive swimwear. Keep reading for more pics. Thanks to reader Alison Y. for the tip!

Off the Rack: Spring Fashions at Old Navy

Old Navy Spring 2009 Collection

Spring has arrived at my local Old Navy, so I snapped some pics to show how these clothes look in "real life." Bright colors dominate this collection, which includes bubblegum pink and canary yellow trench coats; loose-fitting tops and sundresses in ocean blue and tangerine; layering tees, tanks and cardigans in a rainbow of colors, and full skirts in blue, red and brown.

Accessories are equally bright: I spotted some floral tote/beach bags, flip-flops in every color imaginable, colorful ballet flats and thong sandals, and lightweight scarves in an assortment of solids, stripes and patterns. Swimwear was a strong point for me (sorry my photos are kinda blurry), there was a nice mix of two-piece and one-piece suits in tropical hues, easy jersey cotton maxi dresses, and some cute embroidered kaftan/tunic coverups.

If you're looking for cheap workout wear, Old Navy definitely has you covered with a wide array of inexpensive support tops, yoga pants—even eco-friendly aluminum water bottles. During my trip, I bought a couple items from the last-call clearance section and called it a day. It's 38 degrees out today and I just can't bring myself to buy spring clothes until the weather warms up. But I imagine lots of spring breakers will be stocking up! What do you think of ON's spring offerings so far?

We Love Colors Legwear for Spring

The lovely people over at We Love Colors, an amazing online hosiery boutique, recently sent me a bundle of their brightly hued tights in delicious pastel hues, including pink, lavender, cream, yellow and light green, as well as a pair of rich jewel-toned emerald green.

Not too long ago, I wrote a little post about how to wear colored tights and featured looks from the runway as well as some tres chic fashion bloggers. But this time, the challenge fell to me to incorporate these bold leg coverings into my wardrobe. Let me tell you, it was tricky working around such bright colors, but it was also oddly exhilarating. Colors have a mood-elevating effect and seem to spark the imagination in unexpected ways.

If you think you've got what it takes to rock colored tights—as I know many of you do—then head on over to the brand new We Love Colors "Trends" Blog and share your style with the world. Send them a photo of yourself wearing colored tights in a creative way, and you could be featured on their blog and even might receive a free gift! We love colors, how about you?

Spring Fashions at H&M

Spring 2009 Fashions at H&M

Spring collections have been steadily rolling out at all our favorites stores over the past couple weeks, and H&M is no exception. Since this fast-fashion giant doesn't have an online store, it's often neglected by this blog (sniff sniff), so I snapped some pics of the latest offerings to give you a taste of what I'm seeing here on the East Coast. A few key trends include the color coral, light denim, colorful florals, breezy chiffon blouses, khaki pants, flirty dresses and lacy corsets. I am so ready to shed my dark winter wardrobe and start shopping towards a brighter fashion future! How about you?
