Lauren Conrad has signed with Kohl's to launch the LC Lauren Conrad Collection, due in 300 Kohl's stores this October. The line will include a women's contemporary collection, footwear, jewelry, handbags, intimates and sleepwear priced from $20 to $60.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit this but my initial reaction was yay! I guess I actually like LC's personal style and we budget shoppers could definitely use some affordable clothing options inspired by sunny California at Kohl's. Is that such a bad thing?

On a sidenote, many of you thought Kohl's would be the perfect new home for Sarah Jessica Parker's ill-fated Bitten line. With the addition of LC Lauren Conrad Collection, it seems unlikely Kohl's will add Bitten to their lengthy roster of celebrity fashion lines, but I hope they will still consider it.
