Ask BB: Wedding Guest Style on a Budget

I have multiple weddings to go to this spring, summer, and fall. Can you help me find a dress that I can accessorize easily to change it from season to season and wear to the weddings without feeling like I'm wearing the same dress every weekend? —Kelly

Thankfully People StyleWatch recently did a feature on this exact subject so I used it as inspiration for this post (it's in the May 2010 issue, p.82). Basically, they recommend taking a strapless metallic dress in a solid color that's flattering on most body types and can be easily dressed up or down for various occasions. Since we're approaching the summer wedding season, here are 3 ways to wear one party dress for a garden, city or beach wedding. Come fall or winter, just add a coat, shrug or black tights to the same dress and you're ready to go! Well worth the investment if you find the perfect fit. Keep reading to see all 3 options and click on any item for shopping details!

OPTION 1: GARDEN WEDDING
Grass-friendly wedges and a colorful statement necklace give this dress a garden-wedding makeover.

OPTION 2: CITY
Black accessories and a big cocktail ring lend city sophistication to the dress.

OPTION 3: BEACH
Embellished flats and chandelier earrings are glam but still laid-back.

Beauty Review: Alba Hawaiian Spa Treatments

Beauty Review: Alba Hawaiian Spa Treatments

Recently I received four complimentary products from Alba Hawaiian Spa Treatments, a line of natural hypo-allergenic personal care products inspired by the beauty of the Hawaiian Islands. Days when I get a package like that make me really love my job, I'm not gonna lie.

I've been using the [1] Honeydew Nourishing Hair Conditioner, [2] Papaya Mango Exfoliating Body Wash, [3] Pineapple Enzyme Facial Cleanser and [4] Coconut Milk Body Cream for the past couple weeks and I seriously love them all. While none of the products have dramatically improved the quality of my hair or skin, let's face it, I'm very practical when it comes to beauty products and I don't expect miracles. But what I do demand is a product that works and won't make things worse, and that's what I've consistently found with all Alba products that I've tried so far (and I've used a couple of their products in the past which I purchased myself at Whole Foods and Target).
