Ask BB: What to Wear for a Fashion PR Interview

I am a sophomore at the University of South Florida. I recently got really great news - I will be interviewing for an internship with one of NYC's top fashion PR firms. My interview is in early December, and I have NO IDEA WHAT TO WEAR! I do not know how the weather will be, how professional I should get (versus how chic I should look), etc. Since it is a high fashion firm, I have to look perfectly put together (keep in mind I am on a budget). Please help! —Meghan

First, do your homework. Find out everything you can about how people at the company dress. If you can follow the company on Twitter, do it. Twitpics and tweets can provide lots of clues about the office culture and dress code. (Just don't say anything like "I read allll your tweets!" during the interview. Might come across as a bit stalker-ish.)

Video: Marni for H&M

Earlier today we learned that Marni for H&M launches March 8th, 2012 with women and menswear clothes as well as accessories. Now you can be among the first to glimpse the upcoming spring collection in the above video. The collection mixes Tribal prints with Bauhaus graphics in a playful, colorful way that catches the sporty but always so chic world of Marni. "It is great to speak to a wider audience and in particular to the younger generations," says Consuelo Castiglioni, Creative Director/Marni. Tim Blanks, style.com adds, "I'm a huge Marni fan! … She is one of those thinking designers. … She aims for a sort of sensuality of the mind." Best quote ever.

Marni for H&M Coming in March

Marni Founder and creative director Consuelo Castiglion

Just days after the explosive launch of their collaboration with Versace, H&M has announced a spring designer collaboration with the Italian brand Marni. Whereas Versace epitomizes excess and sex appeal, Marni is known for its cerebral designs and playful prints - so if you didn't care for the last collab, you're gonna love this one.

Founder and creative director Consuelo Castiglioni (shown above with H&M's Margareta van den Bosch) worked closely with H&m to create a spring line for women and men featuring clothing and accessories at prices that are high for H&M but super-low for Marni. "I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints," says Consuelo. "As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colors, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic and adding sporty utilitarian elements."

I'm going to sound like a broken record but once again I'm thrilled! Marni is one of those labels I'd totally wear if I were Oprah-rich. Can you imagine Marni for H&M shoes and jewelry?! All kinds of amazing. Marni for H&M will be available from March 8, 2012, in over 250 stores worldwide and online. Keep reading for more glimpses at the collection.
