Lands' End Canvas Fall 2012 Lookbook

I have such a sweet spot for Lands' End, and their Fall 2012 Canvas collection lookbook just makes me love them that much more. Lands' End Canvas, in case you need a refresher, is the cooler, slightly younger line of apparel, shoes and accessories that Lands' End introduced a few seasons ago. The silhouettes are generally a bit more feminine and fitted and the colors, fabrics and prints are a tad more hip and on-trend. But it's still that great Lands' End quality and classic American styling we've come to expect (which lagged a bit there in the '90s with outsourcing to China, as happened with most apparel companies, but I'd say they've gotten things back to the way they used to be.)

As you browse these photos for inspiration, note the rich new colors and the completely redesigned Chinos, cut slim from hip to ankle and available in fresh colors like Raisin, Peacock Blue, Velvet Orange, Malachite and Yummy Praline ($60). Almost everything's priced under $100, and Canvas has great sales, too. I'm ready to cozy up to a fire with a good book and get my fall fashion on.

Ask BB: Where Can I Find the Ugg 'Cyndee' Riding Boot Look for Less?

I absolutely love these boots in the brown (shown below), but $300 is over my budget. Any idea where I can find something similar to this for a bit less? —Mimi

The UGG brand has been hard at work designing new shoe styles that go beyond the shearling boots that made them so famous. And the result has been some, dare I say, legitimately fashionable footwear, like the classic-with-an-edge riding boots you're loving.

Not in your budget? Turn to Madden Girl, a trustworthy source for on-trend styles under $100. Available in brown, cognac or black, the Madden Girl 'Zerge' is an affordable alternative to the Uggs. ($84.50, delias.com) Plus, get 15% off any order with code DDP15. Ends Thursday, Sept. 6.

Cheap, Cheaper, Cheapest: Heart Sweaters

Some wear their hearts on their sleeves, others wear it on their chests. Enter J.Crew's 'Tippi' fine-knit merino wool 'heart' sweater. ($90, Netaporter.com)

Get the look for less with this Old Navy number, available in pink/gray or red/navy for $24.94.

Or, get it for even less at Forever 21, whose pretty pink and taupe heart sweater is just $22.80.

Which would you choose?

Spot the Real: Equipment Colorblock Blouse

The button-front blouse has seen a surge in popularity, due in large part to a little label called Equipment (joking - they're major). For fall, Equipment reinterprets their classic longsleeve silk style in a cool colorblock for $238. The look for less can be yours for $79.50. Think you can spot the real from the steal?
