Off the Rack: Nate Berkus for Target

In between picking up supplies for Sandy, I made a quick trip to Target this past Saturday to check out the newly launched Nate Berkus Home Collection. The store I visited didn't have a huge selection, but what they did have was definitely very nice: Bath towels and bath accessories that looked luxe, a few classic rugs and some modern bedspreads and pillows. The collection overall leans more masculine, and everything had a subtle global flare (Nate loves to travel), from prints like ikat to the rich textures of jute rugs. Since I wasn't in the market for bed or bath accessories, I didn't pick up anything on this trip, but I've spied a few pieces online - like the lacquer tray and the chevron urn - that I hope to find in another store soon.

Have you checked out the Nate Berkus for Target home line yet? What did you think?

Win Cool Stuff: Kohl's $50 Gift Card Giveaway

Kohl's is hooking up one reader with a $50 gift card to shop the latest fall offerings! But first, they sent me a $50 gift card so I could share some of the pieces I'm loving right now. Hopefully you'll see something you like. My ongoing obsession with colored denim has now extended into printed denim. Yes I'm drinking the Kool Aid and there's no turning back. I tried on a bunch of pairs from the juniors department, from houndstooth to floral, and fell in love with all of them. This is a very bad thing. Torn, I made a mental note of my size and then ordered these polka dot skinnies online because my plan all along was to find polka dot jeans, so I stuck with the plan and avoided buying 6 new pairs of jeans. All of these options would look great paired with a neutral sweater or denim shirt and boots this fall. Speaking of boots, I spotted a couple pairs that I'd love to add to my collection if funds were limitless: Chanel-esque quilted riding boots, studded moto boots and suede ankle boots. Another surprising find was in the accessories department - my Kohl's had an entire display devoted to "arm candy" which included luxe-looking bracelets priced at $16.80 by a brand called Natasha. Impressive. However, I realize an entire arm party could get very costly, so I'll be waiting for further markdowns.

Ok, now for our giveaway! Take it away, Rafflecopter.
