Take a break from work (or holiday shopping when you should be working) and check out the H&M Spring Summer 2013 video lookbook for women. Starring model Nadja Bender, the lookbook showcases many of the trends we can expect to see next season, including both fitted and oversized silhouettes in a palette of subdued, desaturated hues as well as contrasting darks like black. Leather is back in a big way, as are sheers, daytime metallics and lots of embellishments, from global (think fringe and patchwork) to edgy (studs and quilted leather). Shoes are surprisingly practical like flat gladiator sandals and western-inspired ankle boots. Yay for that. Jackets will be a layering essentials, from cropped to varsity-style to strong shouldered, balanced by skinny jeans with unique finishes and ankle pants. The overall effect of the styling in this particular video is a bit harsh for me but I see lots of individual pieces that I can make my own. What do you think?

Just in time for the holidays, The Limited is teaming up with Vogue Fashion Fund winner Sophie Theallet for an exclusive collection. Known for her use of vibrant colors and "feminine confidence", the collection features a single dress in four colors (ivory, magenta, black and vermillion), plus a cardigan in four colors (midnight blue, midnight purple, brass and tangerine), that can be mixed and matched in multiple ways. There's also a belt, clutch in red, brick, eggplant and gold, and five styles of bracelets and two styles of earrings for The Limited collection. Dresses will retail for $108, cardigans for $69, bags for $59, belts for $49 and jewelry for $29. I love the trumpet hem, so on-trend this season! French actress and model Laetitia Casta heats things up in H&M's Holiday Lingerie Campaign, which features newly refined feminine styles laden with luxurious details. You've probably noticed some of these images running in your favorite fashion magazines - tell me these aren't steamy! Laetitia is one of my favorite models and it's great that we're getting to see more of her lately (like her recent cameo in Rihanna's "Te-Amo" music video). This season's H&M Holiday Lingerie collection boasts heart-shaped push-up bra styles that fasten at the back or the front, plus full briefs or retro high-waist bottoms.
