Backstage at the Kate Spade Fall 2013 presentation, I caught up with Deborah Lippmann to chat about the nail looks she and her team created to accompany the fabulous '70s disco era-inspired collection. There were two looks on long, oval nails: The first, a pink with "zing" created by layering three lacquers (Amazing Grace, I Kissed A Girl and Between the Sheets). The second, an edgy black nail created using two coats of Fade to Black. Both variations were finished with a pyramid stud placed just below the cuticle. It's a wild look that's perfect for a presentation but Deborah assured me this look can work just as well on short nails. You can find pyramid studs at a bead or craft supply store and use tweezers to apply. What do you think? Is this a nail look you'd try?
