Ask BB: Designer Inspired Sporty Sandals for Less

I'm really into this spring's sporty sandal trend because I'm all about comfort. The problem is I'm coveting these high-end styles like this Marni, this Fendi, and this other Marni. Can you suggest any similar styles that won't break the bank? —Cathy N.

Sporty Sandals for Spring

Let's start with the Topshop "Hydrate" ($35, NORDSTROM.COM):

Yes, I'm sorta stalking her - along with 57k other people! So head to Rue La La if you share my obsession with this easy breezy modern brand but can't pay full price. Grab some effortless leather sandals for around $50 that you'll wear with everything from shorts to sundresses. Go, go, go!

Beauty Splurge vs. Steal of the Week: Rosemary + Mint Shampoo

Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo Dupe

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly beauty products (and their high-end equivalents!) that are available online and in-store. This week, we’re chatting Rosemary + Mint Shampoo (!). Also make sure to check out my blog, HonestlyJamie.com for even more beauty product reviews and tips.

I love ALL things Aveda (they’re a great brand) and I was super excited to try the Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo because it’s known to add body to fine hair (which I have) without stripping the hair of vital nutrients, and the combination of rosemary and mint is honestly just delicious. The mint helps to wake up your senses and rosemary is the ingredient that helps protect your hair from environmental damage so, aside from the fab smell, it’s really just a great product…but at $13 a bottle? Personally, I’m always willing to pay a little extra for hair care just because I’ll do pretty much anything to give my hair more volume, but then I recently discovered a drugstore brand equivalent that is A-MAZING and, get this, only $3!
