Off the Rack: Spring Highlights at Old Navy

Cute spring dresses at Old Navy

During the holiday weekend, I hit up Old Navy to check out the new spring offerings. Everything in the store was 30% off - a deal that's still happening online at OLDNAVY.COM - plus they were giving $30 in Old Navy cash for every $50 spent. While this promotion is no longer going on in stores (at least not to my knowledge), there are still many reasons to head over to Old Navy: Let's start with the dresses. My photos don't really do these justice. All the pretty dresses in pink, white, and yellow looked really nice in person. Perfect for all those upcoming graduations and weddings, not to mention Mother's Day! I also saw a lot of amazing maxi dresses that will be perfect for summer. And for casual wear, lots of cute shorts and sandals to choose from. Some highlights for me included these silver wedges, this bucket bag, and this eyelet shift dress - all of which looked more expensive than they actually were. I didn't buy anything on this trip but my husband picked up some new clothes and we got some adorable items for my son, so I left with $60 in Old Navy cash that I look forward to spending soon. Yay, spring!

Off the Rack: BB Reviews Peter Som for Kohl's

The Budget Babe reviews the new Peter Som for Kohl's collection

Yesterday I headed to Kohl's in the afternoon to check out the launch of the St. Barths-inspired Peter Som for DesigNation collection. I've already professed my admiration for this line, and have received press samples from Kohl's PR as well, so there were no surprises. As you entered the store, there was a Peter Som display showcasing some of the looks, which was a nice touch albeit a quiet one. I had no competition browsing the racks, and everything was still available in all sizes. Plus the collection was already on sale - 25% off! And you could save an additional 15, 20 or 30% off with your Kohl's charge and coupon (mine came in the mail; I believe they also send these via email if you sign up).
