Accessory Steal of the Week: White Pumps

Sydne Summer shares affordable accessories plus styling tips on TheBudgetBabe.com

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly accessory that’s available online or in-stores. This week, we’re talking shoes.

With summer here, everything is white hot… including pumps! Many women are scared to wear white closed-toe heels. And if done incorrectly, you do run the risk of looking like you’re trapped in an ‘80s movie. But if you find the right pair, white pumps can look incredibly chic!

Watch This: Poppytalk for Target Teaser

Target released a short teaser video for their upcoming party collection with top Pinterest pinner Poppytalk, available June 22 in all stores & on Target.com. This is the second installment of Target's "Pinterest" party collaborations; the first was Oh Joy! for Target . It's cute stuff and worth a look if you love throwing fashionable fetes, and while I find it to be a bit overpriced, I noticed it does get marked down quite a bit (not sure many people know about or are looking for these collabs). Check out the Poppytalk for Target page for more details on the products and pricing.

10 Affordable Acrylic Home Finds

Lucite finds on a budget

In this weekly column, I'm bringing you chic home décor products and ideas that won't break the bank. This week, I'm sharing my latest décor obsession – Lucite! For more home décor inspiration, visit my blog, A Vintage Splendor.

Acrylic (aka Lucite) is clearly one of the chicest décor accents for the home, but the hefty price tag that comes with it is not so fabulous on the pocket book. If you’re like me, you’ve looked at pin after pin of Lucite decorated abodes, but your dreams of bringing it home come to a screeching halt after seeing the price tag. Fortunately, there are acrylic décor items that are fabulous without costing a fortune.

Beauty Splurge vs. Steal of the Week: Philosophy Hope In a Jar

Philosophy Hope In A Jar Dupe

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite splurge-worthy beauty products and their budget-friendly counterparts. This week, we’re chatting anti-aging moisturizers (!). Also make sure to check out my blog, HonestlyJamie.com for even more beauty product reviews and tips.

Philosophy Hope In a Jar is 100% a cult classic when it comes to anti-aging moisturizers, but we can all agree that $67 for a 4 oz. jar is pretttty pricey…even if it does boast its medical market origin. As much as I LOVE Hope In a Jar (and yes, it really is that amazing), once I discovered St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer ($5.29, 10 oz), I was instantly obsessed. Just like Hope In a Jar, the St. Ives version is super moisturizing and also promises to help with fine lines and wrinkles.

Off the Rack: Stylish Pillows Under $20 at Walmart

Chic pillows at Walmart Under $20

I popped into Walmart over the holiday weekend for some random necessities and noticed they've got a few really cute decorative pillows, including some off-white flokati style pillows for $15.97 each, chic chevron for $9.97, faux cowhide for $13.97 and gold fretwork (Moroccan trellis) for $9.97. Honestly, you could toss any of these pillows onto a chair or sofa in a stylishly decorated home and you'd never guess they came from Walmart. I was in a hurry on this trip so I didn't buy any but I'm planning on going back for a couple, the tough part will be deciding which ones to get. With a baby and a big dog, I can't risk spending more than $20 (at most!) for a pillow, so these will be perfect for my home.
