Off the Rack: Poppytalk for Target

Poppytalk for Target

Yesterday I popped into Target to review the Poppytalk collection, which is an assortment of outdoor entertaining items created in collaboration with one of Target's favorite pinners and designers, Jan Halvarson from the lifestyle blog by the same name. While the line launched last weekend on June 22nd, I was still able to find many of the items in stock, from glamping (glamour + camping) essentials such as a bright pink candelabra and floral lanterns to more rustic-chic fare such as a cloth checkerboard game and banana-leaf picnic basket. You might easily pass up this understated endcap but it's worth stopping to take a peek. Certain items seem overpriced, like the floral thermos ($18) - I'd pick up this IKEA one instead for $8. But a powder blue charcoal stove for $20 will make your summer Instagram snaps on the beach making S'mores that much sweeter.

Shop Poppytalk for Target in stores and online (Target now offers free shipping on all orders over $50 - hooray!)

Off the Rack: Sandal Sale and Summer Fashion Highlights at Target

This blogger photographs cute stuff she sees at Target!

While I'd like to think I don't bark at my readers like a used car salesman to buy things, today I am totally going to be an enabler because Target is having a big summer sale on shoes and cute fashions that you obviously need. Sandals are buy one, get one half off, and select ballet flats are 2 for $30. Plus, button-down cotton shirts are $17, down from $23, (the ones that look very J.Crew - I bought the pineapple print one, thanks to Tracy's Notebook of Style for "making" me buy it!)
