Steal of the Week: Leopard Dress

Penny Chic leopard dress, $20 at Walmart.com

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly steal that’s available online or in-stores. This week, we’re talking animal prints. Make sure to check out my blog SydneStyle.com for more affordable fashion inspiration!

One of the easiest fall trends to wear is animal prints. You can roar as loud or as softly as you like. While a spotted accessory is a stylish choice, I’m always one to encourage experimenting with something outside your comfort zone...especially when it’s only $20! Beauty Splurge vs. Steal of the Week: Sonya Dakar Retinu

Sonya Dakar Retinu versus Neutrogena

In this weekly column, I’m bringing you my favorite budget-friendly beauty products that are available online and in-store. Also make sure to check out my blog, HonestlyJamie.com for even more beauty product reviews, tricks and tips.

We all know how completely VITAL it is to use anti-aging products as we get older but, truth be told, they can be pretty expensive sometimes. I’m a fan of all things Sonya Dakar (she is AMAZING and so are her products) and lately I’ve been using her retinol serum, Sonya Dakar Retinu since it does pretty much everything I can ask of a skincare product - it smoothes, it targets fine lines and wrinkles and, best of all, it’s gentle…but it does cost $125. While I totally think it’s worth the fancy price tag, a great budget alternative comes from one of my drugstore favorites – Neutrogena! The Rapid Wrinkle Repair Serum does pretty much the same stuff and it actually also has a special complex, Accelerated Retinol SA, which combines retinol with some good-for-your-skin ingredients to really give it the old one-two punch.
