Off the Rack: The Only Shirt You Need to Buy from Target and More Late March Fashion Highlights

March fashion highlights at Target

I've ripped two denim shirts in the past two weeks (no joke), so on my last trip to Target I was on the hunt for a new one. I wear denim shirts all the time, layered under sweaters, layered over t-shirts, and paired with skirts for a casual yet put-together going out look. This Mossimo denim-look shirt ($22.99) caught my eye because it's made from lyocell so it's really fluid, almost like silk, and thanks to a tip from a savvy friend of mine, I happen to know that it's also a great look for less for this popular Rails 'Marlow' Tencel lyocell shirt, $136 at Nordstrom.com. If you get one shirt this season, make it this one! (Read more on lyocell here.)

(More) Spring Shoes at Target: The Good, The Bad and the Just Plain Ugly

Spring shoes at Target

I've already shared quite a few in-store photos of the spring shoes at Target (here and here), and the big-box retailer continues to bring out more styles for us to choose from. Some styles are repeats from last year like these Sam & Libby "Ashland" sandals, which got a facelift this season and is now available in an on-trend metallic light-blue (we love the light blue trend!) A newcomer to the Birkenstock lookalike tribe is the Mossimo "Doris", and the gold color is my least favorite of the intentionally ugly comfort sandal genre. But to each his own. I've owned uglier!

Dollar Bin Diaries: Spring Has Sprung at Target!

Dollar Bins at Target always have the cutest stuff!

For weeks now I've been seeing the cutest spring finds at Target's Dollar Spot on Instagram, and now my store finally has some of the items in stock! With Easter right around the corner (April 5th), I couldn't resist picking up loads of goodies for my son, from an adorable $1 fedora to some fun little toys. I love this magical age where he's just as enthralled by a big cardboard box as he is a shiny new dumptruck. Which means he'll FLIP for the bottles of bubbles, bouncing balls and other goodies I got for a buck a piece. It's cuteness overload these days! Of course Target has tons of "toys" for us grown-ups, too, like addictive organizing bins that you can use anywhere in your house, pretty notecards, chalkboard signs and my personal favorite, wooden paint dipped gift tags. Not sure when I'll use them but they were too lovely to pass up. Browse more photos below and tag me on Instagram (@budgetbabe) if you're ever in the Dollar Aisle - I love seeing what other people find!
