Target One Spot Gets A Makeover: Here's What My Store Looks Like

Target One Spot gets a makeover
By now you've surely noticed that Target has given their One Spot a makeover, reorganizing the aisles, making it a bit bigger, and renaming it "Bullseye's Playground." My son was the first to notice the giant displays atop each shelf featuring Bullseye, Target's canine mascot, wriggling inside gift boxes. As Target reports on their blog, Bullseye's Playground will be a bit pricier, with items ranging from $1 to $5. Displays will update every 8 weeks around "holidays, seasonal mindset and kids." I don't love the price increases but I appreciate the fact that I can fit a cart around the aisle. On the other hand, the closed layout was better for containing my two-year old. Now if he wants to pick out toys, I have to chase him around in circles! It's the little things, right? Read on to see more pics I snapped at two Target locations near me. Do you like the new One Spot? Miss the old one? What changes would you like to see?

Off the Rack: Target's Threshold Christmas Collections Are Bananas

Amazing Christmas decor now at Target
With Christmas decor cropping up at retailers earlier and earlier in the season, it's easy to get a bit jaded...but even the most "bah humbug" among us would find Target's latest holiday home collections hard to resist. This weekend I took a quick pass through the aisle showcasing all the latest Threshold pieces and it was all kinds of magical. Whether you're envisioning a kitschy-chic retro Christmas with faux mercury glass trees and bright candy colors, or a traditional holidays-in-the-Berkshires type fete (see the classic collection), Target has you covered. There are also modern metallics to brighten your space (like this pillow) or rustic accoutrements perfect for outfitting any mantle (um, hello bear head). Just add hot cocoa, a roaring fire, your favorite carols and you are set. Read on for more pics...

Off the Rack: Sugar Paper Los Angeles Planners and Holiday Collection at Target

Sugar Paper Los Angeles planners at Target
Target has teamed up with Sugar Paper Los Angeles, a high-end bespoke letterpress stationery brand, to create both a line of stylish 2016 planners as well as a holiday collection with everything from gift wrap, to ribbon, to boxes with tissue, and charming gift toppers. The end-cap display of planners immediately caught my eye with the collection's super chic color palette of blush pink, gold, black, white and kraft brown, yummy typeface and fun prints (stripes and polka dots, naturally).

Payless shoes are on-trend for fall
Payless is always pleasantly surprising me with their on-trend shoe offerings, and this fall is no exception. Recently the affordable footwear purveyor invited me to shop the latest styles and share my finds to which I replied OF COURSE! That's what I do! So I headed to my nearest location this week to do some recon for you ladies. Read on to see highlights from the racks plus what I bought...

Knox Rose is the Latest Fashion Line to Land at Target

Knox Rose is a new boho fashion line at Target
You may have noticed a new in-house fashion brand at Target called Knox Rose, a boho mix of flowy knit tops, flyaway cardigans, peasant blouses and more that have landed for fall. While I wait to hear back from my PR contact for details on this new addition to the fashion department, I've snapped some photos off the rack that you can peruse below. Is this Target's answer to Free People? That's what came to mind as I reviewed Knox Rose in my mind. Some pieces are definitely stronger than others like the Aztec print cardigan (above) or the faux fleece vest (which I can't find online yet). All items seem to be available in plus-size, too, which is awesome news for shoppers. Prices seem on par with Target's other in-house brands like Mossimo and Merona. I like the sweaters with unique cut-outs as well as the extra long sweater vests, but will avoid some of the shapeless pieces that just don't flatter, and the super muted tones that can look muddy (or just downright inexpensive).

What do you think about Knox Rose? Have you checked it out or bought anything from this line yet?
