Off the Rack: Spring Has Sprung in the Target Dollar Bins (See 30+ In-Store Photos!)

Target Dollar Aisle Finds for Spring 2016
Target has rolled out tons of new spring items in Bullseye's Playground aka the dollar bins, and I dare you resist walking past this cuteness without loading your cart with pastel-top mason jars, floral string lights, polka dot straws, burlap table runners, chalkboard signs, faux topiary bunnies and signs that say "egg hunt" and "think spring." Because I, for one, am thinking spring. I can not wait until we can get back outside after a long winter spent indoors. The gardening items for kids (mini watering can, spade, hat and more) are especially adorable not to mention useful learning tools for tots. I barely slept last night because my littles have colds so I'll just let these photos do the talking. Yay. SPRING!

Off the Rack: Oh Joy! Nursery Collection at Target

Oh Joy Nursery collection at Target is so cute!
Target is rolling out a lot of adorable new additions for babies and big kids alike - just yesterday marked the official launch of Pillowfort, a new kids decor line that's modern and chic (see my earlier post here for pics). And during my last trip to the store I spotted an end-cap displaying a few pieces from Oh Joy! for Target's nursery collection. Created with blogger and designer, Joy Cho, the line includes crib sheets, changing pad covers, swaddle blankets, security blankets, diaper bags, picture frames and more. The vibe is modern, trendy and colorful and perfect for your Instagram feed. I've got all my baby gear essentials but wouldn't mind buying some accent pieces like the 'OK' vase set or Heart LED Night Light...I bet it's perfect for providing just enough light for late-night diaper changes and nursing sessions in the early days with a newborn when you're still not quite accustomed to "seeing" in the dark.

Keep reading for a few more in-store pics, and check out the complete collection online at target.com. See also my post on Oh Joy! for Target limited-edition artwork.

Target Announces New Kids’ Décor Line – Pillowfort (See Pics!)

Target Pillowfort home collection for kids
Target is launching a new kids’ home collection called Pillowfort, which has this mom of two excited already. The 1,200+ piece line includes bedroom furniture, bedding and décor and was designed internally by Target’s Product Design & Development team. According to Target, the Pillowfort collection is meant to appeal to the Pinterest generation of parents and kids - you know...expertly curated decor that looks like the perfect blend of DIY, thrift store finds and designer boutique buys.

Dollar Bin Diaries: Easter Items at Target

Easter theme items in the dollar bins at Target
Thanks to a post by Target Addict, I learned that Target stores are already displaying some Easter items in their dollar bins as Valentine's Day winds down. I didn't find the table runner or napkin rings she posted (here), but I did discover a few cute items, mostly for kids, like Easter theme stickers and stamps. A few general spring items like striped baskets and painted wood letters would work as Easter decorations, too. I'm hoping this is just a sampling of more to come. Bullseye's Playground, as it's called, is looking really disorganized and messy these days making it impossible to find anything, whether you just need thank you cards or some dino stickers for your toddler.

Off the Rack: Target Limited Edition Collection Artwork

Oh Joy at Target
If there's anything I love more than fashion, it's art. During a recent Target run, one end-cap in particular made me swoon, as it showcased Target Limited Edition Collection artwork by four artists: There's colorful and trendy DIY-inspired art by Joy Cho, a graphic designer, author, and blogger (who has also designed party decor and a new nursery collection for Target); whimsical animal artwork by Marisa Redondo, "River Luna" artist and illustrator; city scenes by Clare Caulfield, artist and printmaker; and abstract florals by Kiana Mosley, artist and designer. This must be a dream come true for these talented artists who are able to reach a much wider audience thanks to a partnership with the big box retailer. And customers can discover new artists and purchase wall art that feels much more personal and unique than the average unsigned, mass produced print. Prices range from $17.99 to $34.99. Look for Target Limited Edition Collection artwork on your next trip or shop online at Target.com - right now, save an extra 10% on select home items with code DECOR10. I've got this "You're OK" by Oh Joy! print in my cart.
