A mini trend I've noticed in home decor lately is agate, whether it's an agate slice atop a jewelry box, agate at the center of a starburst, or framed agate wall art as I've rounded up here. I've spotted these pieces - which can look earthy and refined or midcentury glam - at Target, T.J.Maxx, Marshalls and Homegoods. Here's one sweater you won't want to cover with a chunky blanket scarf. It's the lace-up sweater, and it's a new must-have for fall 2016. My favorite ones feature chunky knit styling with gromet lacing. #obsessed Paired with a simple velvet choker, you'll have the most winning combination ever. I've been looking high and low for a budget version in stores but to no avail, however, I did find one online at Missguided.com under $50 (also comes in this gorgeous dusty blush hue). I think it's fascinating how designers can tweak one tiny detail on a staple such as the sweater and make it instantly fresh and covetable. Have you picked up on the lace-up sweater trend yet?

Temperatures dropped here in Connecticut yesterday and I was able to wear my new BP plaid blanket scarf for the first time (seen here). My exact scarf is sold out (I bought it during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale), but of course I wouldn't leave you ladies hanging - I found some amazing lookalikes on Amazon, my not-so-new, not-so-secret source for affordable fashion finds.

I just ordered the scarf shown above so I'll keep you posted when it arrives, but as far as the online pics go, it looks similar to BP's backordered 'Autumn' plaid scarf, which I've loved since spotting it on Jean from ExtraPetite, who paired hers with a chambray shirt, black leggings and cognac lace-up flats. #flawless Don't get me wrong: I love Nordstrom - I'm a new convert - but it doesn't hurt to shop around when something's backordered!
