Oh! Oh! I love the color/texture of the Balmain. But, uh, Pagoda Shoulders? Maybe on an Olson twin. Forever 21 definitely got that part right.

Ohh F21 is definitely raising prices! The first time I shopped in their store NOTHING was over $20 - nothing. I think that was in 1997-8ish.

They're definitely trying to go upscale - and I actually think it's working.

Yes, their prices are climbing steady, but I guess as they're doing more designer "inspired" looks, that's inevitable. I actually like the F21 version better.

First, give me the Balmain! Second...yes! Forever 21 has so been raising their prices! Everything I picked up the other day seemed to be over $20!! :-(

Love that coat! I agree with you all though...F21 prices have definitely gone up. On a lighter note, H&M seems to be lowering prices!

If they are raising their prices, I hope it's because they are raising the quality, and not just for the sake of profit.

I tried this coat the other day!!... it is beautiful and fits gorgeous!...

I didn't buy it because I couldn;t wear as often as I would like to... I live in Miami!!

Glad to know the quality is good in person. I have an amazing wool peacoat from Forever 21 that I bought years ago and it's held up remarkably well, especially considering it was like $40.

I was in there today and it does seem like the quality is a smidge better. Unfortunately most of the stuff they have is either too tight or too short. I've been pretty lucky with their long tunics. I wear them as dresses.

That coat is adorable, and yes, I agree thier prices are slowly going up, I noticed it mostly on things like necklaces and coats mostly. But I am willing to pay a few extra dollars if it will last longer! Great post BB

I took this coat home as an impulse buy a few weeks ago and ended up returning it because I just couldn't justify the purchase. The flap at the tulip hem was not going to keep me warm in Chicago and I didn't feel like the military trend was going to last me through too many seasons. The quality was excellent though.

I love this! I have been trying to look for one that is very similar to that

I like the f21 version that design seems more classic like you could break it out 4 years from now and still rock it.
