Beauty Review: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pat On The Black

Beauty Review: Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pat On The Black

Sometime during fashion week I was bitten by the black nail polish bug. I noticed it's always popular with fashionistas, no matter what the season or which way the trend winds are blowing, so I hit up my local Target last weekend and picked up a bottle of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pat On The Black to get my fix. Picture the darkest point in a glass of Merlot, and you've got your color. Gorgeous! Two coats and you're almost there, but three coats are necessary to achieve bottle color. Not uncommon with such dark shades, and since it goes on smooth, even and dries relatively quickly, it's not a problem. The quality of this line of polishes is really good, too. I'm officially addicted. It doesn't chip easily (that's day 3 up above) and it's not a pain to remove. I don't think this color is new or particularly trendy, just a timeless, chic polish to add to your collection!

Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish
by Sally Hansen can be purchased at Ulta.com for $7.99.

I love black polish, but it has been awhile since my nails crossed over to the dark side. I did try this Sally Hansen complete manicure polish in Gray by gray and I absolutely hated it. The colour was awful and more like blue jeans than gray. One thing I really did like was the brush. Maybe I should give it another chance.

I like how you described it and I can see a wine hue in there. I like the color name too.

I've been using this for the last few years and then finally caved and bought OPI Lincoln Park After Dark.

They are so amazingly similar it isn't even worth paying the extra few $$ for the OPI! And I find this last MUCH longer!!

I believe there's a lime green and a Kelly green but no mint green. Its funny you ask cuz i just bought a mint green from american apparel. i'll post a review soon but i didnt love it. essie makes a better mint green called mint candy apple, try that!

I'm so glad that you wrote about Complete Salon Manicure! When I'm not blogging, I work in marketing for Sally Nail Color. It's hard not to be biased, but I absolutely love the product. This is one of my favorite blogs, so I was super excited to see that you wrote about the brand.

The Commander in Chic (the perfect gray hue...) is my favorite at the moment... and right now it's actually our #1 selling shade!

To post#9 "Budget Chic," there isn't a mint green, but the "Grass Slipper" is a fun shade of lime.
