MALACHITE, a new fragrance for women by Banana Republic, is named after a luxurious natural material that represents the "ultimate in femininity" and "instantly brings to mind a unique color and texture."
When we hear the word "malachite," we're reminded of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, Russia, where we once toured an entire room covered in the stuff. Gotta say, it was a little over the top, although the artistry was admirable.
Malachite the perfume, on the other hand, smells simple and uncomplicated. We found the key notes to be warm and inviting, while the visual presentation was elegant and laid-back.
We'll take our malachite in the bottle.

all that green!
it does look like it's for men. and the name isn't very feminine, more unisex, don't you think?
actually it sounds like something from the Old Testament: "and he smote the Malachites and drove them from the land ..." know what i mean?
ha ha ha
Banana has a new men's fragrance too, called "Cordovan"...not sure what that is.
you're forcing us to admit that we used to collect rocks and malachite was always one of our faves for its beautiful color
maybe they made wallpaper out of it, too, not sure.
have you been to Cordoba? it's worth visiting just to see the famous Mezquita (mosque)--it is freakin amazing in there!
LOL
