Dress by Number: Nicole Richie's Denim Shorts and Tights

Nicole Richie wears denim shorts over tights with black Christian Louboutin ankle boots at the Spring 2010 Winter Kate collection debut in New York City.

Nicole Richie debuted her Spring 2010 collection of Winter Kate in New York City wearing denim shorts over tights, a really popular look this season! I think she looks great but I'm not convinced I could pull off this look myself. What do you think of her outfit?

I'm studying abroad in Spain right now and jean shorts over tights are so in right now! Everyone is wearing them and I think it's such a fun look! Right on trend!

Her entire look is a little stuffy to me, but your finds are great! They help to recreate a similar look without looking too stiff.

i like shorts over tights. not necessarily denim cut-offs though. it's a pretty popular look in china, too. there are lots of woolen winter shorts here. and thick, thick tights.

I hate it. My mom has a vest JUST like that and I keep on trying to make her get rid of it. The shirt tucked in makes her look bulky. I tried the tights under shorts, and it doesn't seem to be appealing where I live.

I absolutely love this look on her! I am so happy she got out of her Paris Hilton hoe bag thing. No offense to either, but come on you girls have got to be classier than that. LOVE IT. Love your picks too BB. Reminds me that I need to dig out my vests.
