Off the Rack: September Offerings at Old Navy

Recently I received a $100 giftcard and an invitation from Old Navy to check out their latest fall offerings and share my experience with readers. So I headed to my nearest Old Navy store yesterday and within minutes, I had found my perfect lightweight fall jacket, an olive green cargo-style number with an upbeat rose plaid lining, utilitarian pockets and hood. The price was right too, just $44.50. I've been following the whole cargo jacket trend for what seems like months now, and this affordable option from Old Navy seems to be a great way to get in on this trend for less. I can wear it while walking my dog with jeans and oxford flats or pair with my edgy leather-look leggings and combat boots when I'm feeling more fashion-y. The next item I scooped up was a super soft fitted plaid shirt which I thought was a little pricey at $26.50 but the cut and color was perfect, it felt feminine not lumberjack, so I scooped it up. Finally, I picked up some totally basic black sweatpants and a zip-up hoodie for $15 a piece because I needed them for an upcoming camping trip and lounging around the house once. Total spent was $84!

Keep reading to see what else was in store!

This is great! Thanks so much for going to Old Navy. I just received an email from them yesterday promoting $20 sweaters. They're a store I tend to forget about but always find a comfy sweater or t-shirt that I love! Great to see what they have lined up for fall and winter!

Thanks!!

You are awesome - these are some great picks! Love the 90's cleaned-up grunge look with plaid and cords and that shirtdress can morph into so many looks. Love love love. Thanks!

I looked at that faux fur vest last time I was there, but I am patiently waiting for it to go on sale. I like your picks, especially the cargo jacket. It's nice that it is a bit fitted.

Would you mind sharing where your oxfords are from? I saw a similar pair on Target's website and was wondering if yours were from Target and if so, what the comfort level is like.

You are right, they're from Target! I picked them up a couple weeks ago for $16.99, they're the Soraya Oxford flats by Xhilaration:

They are super comfortable if you can stand to wear flat shoes with little to no arch support (which for some reason I am able to do lately), however I doubt they will last very long just because they're so soft and thin, almost like a slipper. But I love the look. For a menswear inspired shoe they make my feet look rather diminutive and I can wear them without socks.

Looking for some! thnx.

The leggings are from Target, you can see me wearing them here:

I wore them when it was about 50 degrees out, all day, and they were amazingly comfortable and I did NOT sweat in them! I think the non-leather like panels on the side make all the difference, allows skin to breathe.

Their clothes look great on you, esp. the shirt dress! I don't know if a fuller figure could pull off bright mustard green corduroys but they look nice on your petite frame.

I haven't been shopping at ON that much since I quit working there almost 2 years ago. Got tired of reading "Old Navy" labels on all of my wardrobe.

Hi babe! Question...where did you get your jeans from? they look amazing!

These would be my Joe's jeans purchased a couple months ago from Hautelook.com, very comfy, great fit, holding up well in the wash :-)

Do you mind suggesting what color tights/boots you'd wear with the chambray dress? I just bought it but need a bit more inspiration! :-) Thank you!
