MNG by Mango for JCPenney New York City Launch Party

Last night JCPenney celebrated the official launch of their new MNG by Mango fashion line with a star-studded bash in New York City. I wasn't able to make it into the city for the event, but my friends at JCP shared some photos from the fashion show that you can see here. My nearest JCPenney store that actually carries this line in the one in Manhattan, a two-hour train ride away, so I was really bummed to miss the party because I was really looking forward to actually seeing these clothes up close. Oh well, next time! The leopard coat looks so luxe and I'm loving the fur vest (above) too. Not sure if I will be sporting shorts for fall but I might warm up to this trend as time goes by.

More photos after the jump, which looks do you love?

Looks like they have some great pieces. I am loving the fall shorts look.

I bought a shirt from this line and it ripped in TWO places during its first wear. I will not be purchasing from this line again. The clothes aren't even that low priced and is made extremely poorly. Be careful what you buy from this line, even if the designs are enticing.

I stopped at a JCP in Houston to check out this line. I was really impressed with the style and quality, but, unfortunately, I am just too tall for Mango! Even in the US size XL, the tops were too short and too tight (I wear an 8-10, and typically wear M-L). I was sad to leave the leopard print cardigan behind. Oh well!

This is a fierce collection and I wouldn't have it any other way. The JCPenney and Mango collaboration will go more than anywhere. I wasn't wrong in becoming fans of the two.

I bought a silk dress from this collection to wear to a friend's wedding reception.

It had some minor flaws. But otherwise, I love it.

I saw this line at my local JCP and it's alright. I think I had to yawn a few times because most of the clothes were pretty boring. I think if I bought anything, it'd be some kind of staple or layering piece. They had nothing fun and there's no color.

It is neat how they set up little boutiques inside the store and I thought they did a good job with that. You kind of walk into a new little world for a few minutes.

Also they didn't seem to be that good of quality or interesting enough to spend the money. Even with JCP sales and coupons, the pricing is still pretty high.
