Poll: Would You Wear...Spirit Hoods?

It's a good thing I haven't finished writing up my worst trends of 2010 list, because I have a new one to add: Spirit hoods. Meant to celebrate the connection we have with our wild natures, these furry animal hats are the latest attention-grabbing headgear among adventurous 20-somethings and such celebs as Ke$ha, Vanessa Hudgens and Audrina Patridge, to name a few. I love my trapper hat but that's as far as I'll go. How about you?

I started wearing fuzzy ear hats about six years ago - but that's because they started selling them at anime conventions and a lot of us would wear them while raving. I recall a lot of people on campus ridiculing me for wearing them - except for one of the groundskeepers, who stopped me to inform me she loved it one day.

It always amuses me when something that was once nerdy and much derided is suddenly seen on really vapid chicks like Audrina. (I kind of expect people like Kesha to wear them since she sort of overlaps into raver culture anyway)

Trapper hat - absolutely. I rock mine constantly. But anything with ears makes it too twee and precious for me to stomach. Pass.

It is faux fur... that's the point of them. They donate money to animal charities.

I have 4 Spirithoods and my little girl has one! We LOVE them and think they are really awesome! I wear mine any chance I can when it's cold and I get TONS of compliments and asked where they can get one. They are not overpriced and if you saw one in person and saw the quality and workmanship that goes into one you'd see that! Love my Spirithoods and Love my Tribe

I'd like to add that people should know these are faux fur. These are not real fur and also proceeds from certain Spirithoods goes to help protecting animals. For example, the Snow Leopard, Wolf and Polar Bear hoods I have, some of the proceeds goes to a Non-Profit Organization helping these beautiful animals.Yes, it might take a certain kind of person to love these, but those are the kind of people I want to surround myself with. Full of love and a good spirit

I have a wolf spirithood and I wear it with pride. I wear it because I like it and that's all that really matters to me. I'm not here on this planet to impress other people nor care what they think of me. If I cared what every person alive thought of me I'd go insane. I don't care to keep up with the latest trends either. I wear it simply because it relates to wolves and I love anything wolf. So wear your spirithood for you and no one else!

I own a black wolf Spirit Hood and I wear it all the time, everywhere. It's cozy yes, but more importantly, kind of reflects my eclectic style. Often I wear it draped around my neck and it simply looks like a cool, funky fur wrap. And when I put the full hood on, I am in my own little wolf world. A large group of my friends have them, we are a pack. It brings us together. It makes us happy. Most people I meet comment on it and even when they are skeptical, most of the time if they simply try it on, they start to feel their inner animal. I love it.

I love my SpiritHood. They are an awesome company that cares about animals and their customers. I literally wear mine all the time, even in the hospital. (I have a lot of health issues requiring surgery) My SpiritHood is comfortable, warm, but not too warm, and it connects me to my inner-wolf. They are not over-priced. They are well made. And hand made. They are pure awesomeness.
