La Redoute Resurrected for U.S. Shoppers?

French fashion from La Redoute accessible to U.S.A. shoppers on Avenue.com

Good news for fans of La Redoute, the French fashion store that stopped shipping to the United States back in 2009: You can now shop a small selection of "La Redoute" labeled clothing on Avenue.com!

I stumbled upon this totally by accident.

Just enter the term "La Redoute" in Avenue.com's search box, and you'll see 38 products ranging from liquid leggings to soft leather jackets, all bearing the La Redoute name in the caption. Another clue? The catalog images totally look like old-school La Redoute.

I'm excited by this discovery since I only had the chance to place one order from La Redoute before they discontinued their U.S. website. I'm tempted to order the trench coat (shown above) immediately.

I've reached out to someone at Avenue.com for more info, so I'll keep you posted if I hear back.

UPDATE: I heard back from my contact at Avenue, here's what they had to say!

"Yes, this is the same French brand from a few years ago. ... I also wanted to mention that you can find La Redoute product at OneStopPlus.com as well."

Above: [1] Fashion Trench Coat, $59.99-$69.99 [2] Satin Blouse $39.99 [3] Sequin Tank Dress $59.99 [4] Floral Maxi Dress $59.99-$69.99

I used to love La Redoute! I'm kind of bummed that the clothes listed don't come any smaller than a medium, but I figured as much since it was listed on Avenue. Let's hope that they start serving the US again.

I love the Sequin dress, however I'm confused about the size. Are these only offered for larger sizes and if so - why is the model all skinny looking? How confusing...

Upon closer inspection, looks like La Redoute items are offered in size M, L, 14W-34W only.

BB, I was about to say the same thing after poking around Avenue's site: that despite the models looking super-thin, the La Redoute items are only offered in plus sizes. Darn!

How unfortunate that they are only offering limited sizes! I ordered a trench from their catalog over 5 years ago and it is still going strong. Here's hoping they bring back the whole catalog!

Good to see LaRedoute back--even on a small scale. I hope resellers add Anne Weyburn outfits to their collection soon.

I was extremely disappointed when La Redoute stopped shipping in the US. It was the only place I could get pants and pant suits in sizes that fit. I still have a fantastic suit that I wear to work. Still looks great! For those like me, small size with long legs La Redoute was perfect. It is impossible to find nice work clothing in the US to fit. I am hoping La Redoute will sell the US again someday soon!

You can buy from the French La Redoute site and they will ship to the US. I placed an order with them on 31 May 2011, and it arrived with no problems to my home in Colorado on 8 June 2011. I was surprised by how fast it got to me since I didn't pay for faster shipping or anything. :-)
