Until now, we've avoided commenting on the high-waisted trend in pants because we just don't see how they could possibly be flattering for our body type. And honestly, we're still not sure if they'd work for us or not, but the only way to know for sure is to experiment - and these high-waisted jeans from Forever 21 are calling our name! Are they not the hottest things you've ever seen? We'd pair them with a white button-down blouse and some kickass pumps for maximum va-va-va-voomage!
Here's Kate and Gwen rockin' the highwaisted look...
Couple questions to consider with this trend: To tuck or not to tuck? Belt or no belt? Will these pants hold in your tummy - or just end up drawing unwanted attention to the area?
Let us know what you think: Love it or leave it??

I like them! I think they'd be a lot more flattering then the coin-slot pant trend of last year! Done right, I think these pants could be very stylin', just definitely not to be worn with flats! (ick!) I'll try them at the store, definitely not something I will buy online!
I bought a pair from Forever 21 back in early summer, though the ones I purchased just hit right above the belly button, but they are my boyfriend's favorite jeans of mine. Definitely tuck in shirts because the point is to show off the high waist! I haven't really seen anyone else wear them here in Louisville, but I've rocked them for quite awhile, along with high waisted skirts and shorts. But I think you have to be pretty skinny for them to look all right, in my opinion, because they can accentuate any pooch.
awesome! its so funny that you say that, because it brings up another really interesting point, classy guys really aren't fans of seeing too much flesh hanging out! They can appreciate the beauty of the female figure in stylish, covered, styles- more women need to realize this, and then hopefully we'll see less coin slots! lol
