Ask BB: A Spring Wardrobe Essentials Checklist, Please

Hi, you should make a spring 2011 wardrobe essentials list, I need a guide of what to get this spring! —K

Great question (er, request?)! I need a guide to help me shop for spring, too. In addition to restocking your basic tees and cardigans for layering, here's a list of 10 must haves to add your wardrobe - of course these are just suggestions, edit and seek out styles that suit you!

Your Spring Essentials Checklist: 10 Must Have Pieces

1. Trench (D Collection Trench Coat, $69, Urban Outfitters)

d Collection at ShopStyle

2. Wide Leg Jeans (Vintage Flare Leg Jeans, $69.50, Gap)

Incredible list!!!

All I'm missing are the sunglasses and the tie-neck blouse. I want spring already... it's supposed to snow here tomorrow :-(

I live in the NE, too. Hopefully the snow is just an April Fool's joke. This list makes me equally excited for spring! We'll get our sunshine soon enough.

Was happy about how much of that list I have too! I think I'll swap out the wide legged jeans for white jeans tho - I'm seeing those all over the place. Maybe a denim shirt of chambray dress too?

I love that wide leg jeans are popping up. I can't get enough of that 70's boho vibe :-D

I have a lot of these too and am definitely looking to incorporate some coral into my wardrobe. SO looking forward to the cold being over with; bring on the sun!

I'm glad spring is here in Texas. A little cool this week but warming back to the 80's by the weekend. Ducks snowballs being thrown Thank goodness I have most of this already. :-)

Perfect! These are definitely the perfect staples to build a spring closet around. Nicely done. And, as always, love the price points :-)

Great list! I can do without the tie neck blouse; just a personal preference. I think you've covered everything except a pair of white jeans or pants. :-)

Hey Budget Babe,
Thanks for sharing this essential list! It's great to know that some simple pieces can last a whole season-great recommendations. We also wanted to share if we may that we sell products that align with what you are talking about as well. . .from our sailor stripe top, our coral sandals, to our star walk trench coat, and then our credit plan and our guarantee, we fit in with Budget Babe's philosophy. Thanks!

I'd nix the sunglasses and stripes, those are pretty standard. I'd add some neutral pants (white seems to be a trend) and maxi dresses!

Great pick! Especially the coral and the midi skirt!
