Off the Rack: LPLP Linea Pelle for Target Fall 2011 Handbags

The other day at Target I spotted about eleven new fall styles from the LPLP Linea Pelle handbag collection, and they're actually pretty good-lookin. My favorites included a stud detail cognac satchel, a zip front crossbody purse and both the black and purple versions of the tote with exterior pockets. Prices range from $14.99 to $29.99, and some bags were already marked down a bit. Overall, this is a much better collection than LPLP's disappointing debut spring line, thanks to a richer fall color palette of black, purple, cognac, brown and olive green. See more real-life pics after the jump (sorry for the poor quality, I thought I had forgotten my camera but it was hiding in the side pocket of my purse all along). Are you impressed with LPLP's fall styles?

I really like the purple bag. That seems like the perfect size for a carry-on for travel during the holidays! I'm going to have to go check it out, thanks for the pictures!

It's definitely an improvement, but I still feel like faux leather bags just look cheap unless you go with a higher end vegan line like Big Buddha. I would definitely consider the purple bag or the green perforated bag if they were on clearance. I love Target for clothes, belts, accessories, and the occasional pair of trendy shoes, but their bags--collaboration or not--always underwhelm me. However, I still have my Carlos Falchi for Target bags (I got them at 75% off) and use them a bit. I know that line got a lot of criticism, but I have enjoyed them.

Thanks for the pics and review, BB!

I think Big Buddha bags are so cute! But I own the last LP bag and it's actually really nice! I own quite a bit of higher end bags (LV, Gucci etc) and this bag is what I'm rockin right now!

I bought the real LP perforated bag this summer, and truth be told I saw the ones in Target a couple of weeks ago, and I like the Target version better. The leather was better than expected, and I liked the shape and size better than what I have.
But I need a new tote bag for the fall, so I will be checking out that cognac one. Great color!
