Mossimo for Target Fall 2011 Lookbook

Although many of us are still upset with Tar-jay for the Missoni snafu (see Missonipocalyse: Target's Epic Fail), let's try to put those feelings aside for a moment and take a gander at the Mossimo Fall 2011 lookbook. On my last trip into the store I noticed that some shoppers were actually confusing the two brands ("There's still plenty of Mossimo left!" "No, that's Mossimo, we're looking for Missoni.") But I digress. The fall 2011 Mossimo for Target collection features rich tones, such as dark berry, olives and deep blues, which are accented with soft florals and classic stripes. Draped necklines, peasant tops and flare pants make their way back into wardrobes this fall. Click through to see all the looks, which I'm inclined to say are more wearable than a lot of the Missoni pieces anyways. Mouse over any image for details on pricing and availability.

I LIVE in that first pinkish/burgundy sweatshirt. Wish I would have gotten more colors. It's so versatile.

I'm loving this look. Target was bombarded I'm sure with Ebayers buying up everything and now selling Missoni items, for double and triple the price.
Certainly didn't make it easy for regular shoppers.

These are the types of items that first brought me to Target, and will keep me as a customer. Basics to dress up or down that won't break my budget. All the other stuff comes and goes.

Yeah sometimes I think they take the designers for Target idea too far and they should just stick with what they're known for and what works - this stuff! Also, one other gripe I have with Target is how completely inconsistent their stores are. Living in Vancouver my closest is in Bellingham, WA, but honestly there aren't any decent Targets north of Seattle. And I used to shop at them in Florida too and found a lot of them were better than others. What's with that???

I very much like the navy dress and the yellow cardigan.
