Shop Missoni for Target This Very Instant

The long awaited moment has finally arrived: The Target for Missoni collection is here! At the moment this post was written, I'm noticing a few pieces are already sold out, like a throw, one of the jar candles, a toss pillow covered in fabric loops and those lovely suede pumps (which to me look better in the photos than in real life, but they're still pretty). In other words, go now if there's something you'll regret not getting. If you happened to stay up last night and you know the exact moment the Missoni collection went live, please let us know in the comments! Also, let me know what you buy online or in stores. I'm going to get some bath accessories online and then see what my store has in a few days.

The Target website seems to be down completely right now...and has been for a few hours. Ugh. I wonder if all us fashionistas searching for Missoni items caused the crash? :-)

I woke up this morning and immediately turned on my laptop to snag the floppy hat and rain boots from the Missoni Collection! I wanted one of the rolling travel pieces but they were already sold out online. :-( I may go back online to see if there's anything else I can't live without! Happy Missoni hunting folks!

I was online at 6:30 am (EST) to snag the black/white coat sweater and the silk scarf. Went to my local Target at 8:15 and the racks were picked over! From what was left on the racks, I could see that the quality is pretty good. Can't wait for my order to arrive!

The site appeared to go live around 5:30am Chicago time. The women's apparel category was the last to load. I snagged the a black cardigan sweater, chevron-patterned platter,zig-zag octagan platter, pink wood picture frame, floral jar candle, wavy bath towels in black/white and floral and a men's purple necktie (for the boyfriend). Kinda blows the only shoes they put out for the entire collection were the flats and heels and rainboots. Not impressed. Amazing home, bath and bed stuff though.

You actually can't shop Missoni this very minute, as Target's site is down (and has been for at least an hour). I plan to get to Target when they open at 8!

I totally went to one of my Targets at 8:10 this morning! And there were quite a few ladies there - but most people were checking out the home goods. I have to say the quality of the clothing is great. I picked up quite a few things...floral silk blouse, b/w chevron shirt, long black/brown cardigan, black dress, blue chevron cardigan and the black suede pumps. I tried on a couple of dresses, and be warned - they are SHORT!! I'm almost 5'8" and I'll have to be careful when I bend over...but even contemplating wearing it over skinny jeans and belting it. The little girl's clothes were cute, but I couldn't spend that much knowing that my daughter will not be careful while wearing it!! :-)

I was able to get one sweater because thats all they had left!! Oh well. I feel like some people got a little greedy with this one since I saw so many people with just baskets full of stuff.

Hey Budget Babe & friends :-) I was at Target this morning at about 8:10am for a completely different reason (looking for a cute laundry hamper) & had totally forgot about this line launching today. Anyway, as I'm roaming around aimlessly I stumble upon a crowd & some CUTE clothes! I left with a sweater dress, long open cardi (for both the dominant color is blue), and a very cute cardigan. I tried everything on 1st because I understand this may be a great deal but these items were still all $50-$55. Anyway, soft & fit GREAT. I agree with another comment...sweater dress is short, but I'm planning on doing it with tights OR for date nite with bare legs..the long cardi and these awesome nude color suede Jessica Simpson pumps I snagged at Marshalls for $20! Almost bought shoes but I was already over budget considering I went in for a laundry basket..that I did not buy! :-)

WHEW! I happened to check their facebook page at 6:15am and luckily shopped before the first site crash. Then I waited for it to come back and bought more. Insane? You better believe it! I got 3 dresses, 2 cardigans, a hoodie, the ballet flats (yay!), rain boots, 4 mugs and the little bra. I REALLY wish I could have gotten the luggage, and now I'm debating the dishware. I AM CRAZY.

I got up about 20 minutes early so I could stop by the Target in Brooklyn on my way in to work. There were already people waiting outside (some had been there since 6 am!!). Mad dash when the doors opened, though I took my time. I got the suede pumps, which are adorable and a different style than my other shoes; a floral blouse; a floral print scarf; black tights; and the blue picture frame with the Missoni stripes.

I looked at the ballet flats and the black and white zig-zag striped blouse, but made myself only choose one footwear item and one shirt.

Everything except the bedding was immediately picked over. Some people just grabbed everything they thought they might want and then were trying stuff on and going through and tossing aside stuff they decided they didn't want. Just craziness!

I was able to shop online around 6am est and bought the flats, throw and a silk scarf. Around 9am went to my local Target and was surprised to there were no crowds, clothing displayed neatly and nice selection. Spent a few hours oogling over the clothing and home accessories. Decided that I want to return the throw and silk scarf when I receive them in the mail after seeing them in person, just not what I expected. Ended up getting a cute b/w zigzag tshirt and a long thick brown pattern cardigan. Wanted to get the dress, but after trying on, it didn't do anything for my body type and it was really short, more like a tunic. May go back and get some home accessories, but focused on the clothing as I feel like that will go more quickly...have fun shopping!

Just got back from Target in Miami at about 1pm. Everything was completely sold out as is every other Miami area Target, according to an employee. They also said it was a one time thing and they wouldn't be getting any more in... I don't know about that one. Hopefully it's not true. Please let it not be true!!! All I wanted was a little scarf D:

Stayed up till 2AM refreshing too many times (they had press released that they were going live at 12:01AM, but then target people on fb and twitter said it was delayed with the high volume of items to put up on target.com - tsk tsk - they should have been ready for the crazy target fashionistas!!!) ... then had my alarm ready for 2:50, 3:50, 4:50, then 5:50 ... and finally shopped at 5:55!!! Website was still having issues here and there, so I place multiple orders to make sure I don't lose the order items as I shopped! Crazy!!! I never had to shop in such a rush! But I got my flats, bikinis, throw, scarves! :-)
I didn't drive by the Target by me, but I could imagine a huge line! I was reading on FB and twitter feeds with people waiting in line outside of Targets allover! And sounds like online had all selection (including online exclusives) whereas stores had selective pieces depending location etc.
Good Luck!!!! :-)

PS I hope I don't get an email that they had to cancel items with lack of stock etc!

LOL Glad I was not the only person playing Alarm Clock Roulette! I got up at 1 a.m. mountain standard time, as that is when the Rodarte collection went on sale, but site was not ready. Got up at 4:30 a.m. and actually lucked out on my super-slow home computer! I got the long blue dress with the matching sweater, the ballet flats, the sweater/blouse thing with zig-zag sleeves, and an infinity scarf. Yippee! It is 1:38 MST, and there are already 5,000 pieces from the collection on ebay!!!!!!

took me forever to get on the website, but randomly i picked the sweater i wanted. vneck cardigan in blues and browns and decided to click to see if it was available in my local store. generally we never get the designer collection. much to my suprise the store had the sweater still in stock so i hurried right up. The missoni was totally picked over but my sweater was left! the manager said that they had big selection and by noon it was down to a couple of mini skirts. (plus my sweater) happy that i saved a bit on shipping!

I personally find the Missoni print a little eye-dazzling to wear in anything more than an accessory or accent but I love that idea, so I will have to see what scarves/bags/etc they have. Thanks!

I wasn't impressed. I went into the store after mixed results with the website. The entire collection was picked over. I can't imagine throwing down 50+ dollars for something with zig zags on it. Don't get me wrong, I like the pieces, but I don't feel the price is right. I am also very disappointed in Target's preparedness (or lack thereof). I won't be spending as much with Target anymore.

I went to my local Target this morning and all Missoni was totally sold out. Only thing left were 4 of the comforter sets that were $100 and now that I am home regret not getting it. I went for the clothes though and was shocked and saddened that there was nothing left. Wondering if the stores that sold out that quickly will be restocking sometime this week.

Was able to get rainboots and the girls sweater hoodie between website crashes.

While I did make it to my local Target store, it was 2 min. too late. I arrived at 8:02 to find the womens dept. completely ripped apart. There were probably 30+ women fighting over the racks! I was able to get 1 sweater, some tights, the last silk scarf, and some stationery items, but the housewares were pretty much gone. I'd say that by the time I left (at 8:20) the entire collection was 90% sold out at that store!

I feel good about my score! I was at my L.A. target at 7:30am, and there was already a line there. I went straight for women's clothes and got the blue chevron cardigan, the black and white dress with the straps- it fits great, gives a real nice shape to the body not boxy, I also got both mini skirts- LOVE them! And the blue and pink zipper hoodie, PERFECT for a plane ride tomorrow to the east coast! I also got one sweater box in blue (but still want one in orange as well) and I got this GREAT office supply, a vertical folder that buttons shut and has vertical file folders in it. People were crazy though, and shelves were empty by 8:20am people's carts were FULL and ebay is really upsetting to me, I bought stuff for myself to enjoy not to re-sell. Ebay had 90 items yesterday and now they have over 8,000 it's not fair, people just want their fair share. Target employees said they will restock on and off so it's worth it to go back!

I find it absolutely disgusting that people went and took everything in site just to make a quick buck or a hundred in some cases. I say they should all be boycotted and let the vultures get stuck with all that merchandise they took without concern or regard for other people. We have become a greedy society and today's Target fiasco is just another example of that. They need to put limitations on the numbers of items people should be allowed to purchase to avoid this type of situtation but we all know they won't because what do they care as long as they make money.
#23 Tracie on 2011-09-13 19:06 (Reply)
Hear hear!

Some of us can't be up at 2 a.m. buying stuff online and have to actually be at work when Target opens. Scalpers suck.

SO so disappointed. Went to my Target at 8:10 am and not many people there at all. I didn't see much Missoni and was told by manager that the store had not received a lot of the merchandise to his frustration and he also told me that the Missoni/Target Advertising Campaign had been so massive he had assumed that he would get more stock). Poor selection in accessories, women's, men's and houseware (except for plastic serving trays). I wanted a throw and there were 2 left which another lady and I were saying didn't look nearly as good as online ie they aren't loopy and hand knitted, but the material is just sewed together with some bald spots - so I passed. I loved the stationary and stationary accessories (which they did have. Thought a lot of the collection I did see looked cheap for the price (and I LOVE Missoni). Votives were pretty. Lots of kidswear though. Also, a few people throwing everything Missoni in their carts and I'm thinking, "This is going to end up on EBAY."

Missoni Impossible! I arrived at 8:20 am to my local target (seramonte mall) to find EMPTY racks. My BFF and I camped outside the dressing room and took others castoff's and each managed to go home with some real treats! All and all a fun day of shopping.

Saw the collection up close at my Target last night...9:45 pm and nothing had been touched. This doesn't surprise me at all...the designer lines hardly ever sell out here. Most people in this area buy the real deal if they're going to buy it at all. Also, I hate to say it, but I don't get the allure of this launch....know I'm in the minority here, but I find the prints, colors and patterns in this line to be absolutely HORRID...it looks like 1978 went on a 3 decades long bender and threw up on the Target sales floor. Just not my style. But then again, I've never been a prints girl...I'm much more comfortable in solids.

I was sick yesterday and figured I would got my missoni online. Of course the website was down. Got a few things this am, from what was left, then went to see what was left at a local store (Bloomfield hills, MI). They had some picture frames and plastic dishes. Nothing exciting.

The saleswoman said the first few people in the store yesterday just swept the racks. Each had carts full of stuff. I really wish target would have put a limit om per item sales. Many who really wanted to buy these things for ourselves were usurped by those who wanted to resell anything they could on eBay.
#27 Jenn on 2011-09-14 10:21 (Reply)
I think some of the clothing pieces are really nice, soft materials, amazing knits. Some were less nice and cheap looking. All the home stuff is amazing. I bought the bulk of my stuff online at 5 a.m. and then hit the stores just for the fun of it, and to try and find the elusive blue hoodie cardigan.

As far as the eBayers go and the people who had their carts piled high with multiple sizes, I say: don't hate the player, hate the game. Target chose not to limit quantities and people took advantage of that to try and make a few (hundred) bucks reselling. Can't say I wouldn't do the same if I was unemployed. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

I was on the Target website earlier and they have several of the Missoni women's clothing items up for sale again. I just bought myself the brown zigzag sweater and was able to use 10% off coupon from retailmenot.com

You should check it out.
