I have many style icons depending on my mood, but the girl who constantly amazes me with her impeccable style has to be Olivia Palermo.
The girl can do no wrong. She mixes and matches the most incongruous elements with ridiculously flawless results. And while her seemingly limitless budget certainly doesn't hurt, it's always nice to see how she styles cheap-chic finds, as she is often spotted wearing affordable items from places like LOFT (this is her exact faux-fur leopard jacket as seen above), Mango and TOPSHOP.
One look in particular forever sealed my love for Olivia Palermo's style, namely, the striped tee/statement necklace/ruffled trench coat which I featured here as well as in the image above, and so I was inspired to take my white tee and add some stripes. Specifically, glitter stripes because the holidays are here and sparkle seemed right. You can never have too many striped tops in your closet - the styling possibilities are limitless. So, here's my finished tee:

And here's how I styled it, inspired by Palermo's eclectic yet chic style. A blazer and statement necklace make this work for a creative environment.

Here's another look that could work for day to night with a little fur jacket and green statement necklace. Kinda, maybe? Work with me here.

If you liked how I transformed my white t-shirt, please take a sec to visit the Jane By Design Facebook page - and tell them "The Budget Babe sent me!!"
If you want to see a step-by-step tutorial for creating your own glitter tee, let me know in the comments. Better yet, let me know on the Jane By Design Facebook page (a little bribery never hurt).
P.S. Once again, this isn't sponsored and there is no monetary prize, however, each blogger participating received one free plain white tee from ABC Family to complete this challenge.
