Just this past summer, I spent four weeks traveling in Italy. While there I was absolutely obsessed with blood orange juice (its so good!) and really hard to find here. Ever since, I’ve been crazy about all things related to this dark, slightly raspberry flavored relative of our tasty orange.

Last week my boyfriend surprised me with a fabulous reminder of summer, a blood orange lip stain by Revlon called Just Bitten. A limited edition product, this water-weight juicy stain leaves you with the most gorgeous color, unbelievable staying power, and soft natural looking lips!

This is probably one of the hottest shades for spring time lips. A dark red orange in the tube, it goes on in layers so you can be as subtle or fabulous as you want.

Get the bright and neutral face that’s so hot for spring by pairing this very flattering candy hue with some neutral eyes and cheeks and you're going to look gorgeous. (I personally recommend paring with a cream eye shadow in a nice rich brown, try Therapy Systems cream gel liner in Espresso - beautiful rich and smooth product)

The ingredient list reads like a smoothie shopping list; raspberry extract, blackberry extract, boysenberry extract, cherry extract, strawberry extract, orange extract, and blueberry extract (whew!!!) So not only do you look fierce, but the beauty literally comes from nature.

Bottom line: I love this! Love the way it goes on, applied to clean lips, it sinks in quickly, and if you want some added shine a quick gloss over the top finishes the look for the rest of the day. The little tube will last forever, I seriously only apply in the morning and I’m good for the rest of the day. I highly recommend this product. Also comes in three other fantastic shades, I personally have collected them all… :-D

That's so funny--Just Bitten Blood Orange is my favorite--I bought it awhile ago and just rediscovered it a week ago while cleaning out my makeup. I absolutely love it. It lasts forever and it really is the perfect color. I really want to pick up the other shades, too!

hey, i don't know if you are replying to me.
anyway, i bought this and on there has sign that means if you opened the tube, shelf life is 18 months.

should i take caution and use it within 1 and a half year?

I wouldn't really "take caution", but it is good to point out that most makeup once opened and used should not be kept in the makeup drawer for years on end. Like most other things, makeup will begin to deteriorate and in some cases "go bad"- not really in a harmful way, but more in way that compromises the quality of the product (for example its advised that mascara be changed every month for optimal performance and eye health). This is especially true with products that touch "germy" parts of the body (like the lips)- its assumed that most lipsticks and lipglosses will be used up quickly, so there really isn't a need to warn people, where as a stain will probably last longer, so to prevent staleness or germies they warn you. Whew, so in summary, don't fear the stain, just use the same care you use with your other makeup products and keep a date on everything.

wow, thanks for your answer. I learned a lot.
i guess stain is luquified, so it doesn't go bad as much as normal lipgloss/lipstick.
but i did buy a jessica simpson mini plumper -new AND sealed- and half of them was bad once I open them. LOL
