LOFT Summer 2012 Collection Preview

Yesterday LOFT held their summer press preview in New York City amidst tropical flowers and fruity drinks, the perfect compliment to the collection's beach-resort vibe. Brights like turquoise, hot pink, yellow and lime green dominated the vibrant palette, balanced by plenty of crisp clean whites and soothing neutrals. Everything was about ease and warm breezes, from flowy maxi dresses to ikat-print shorts and lightweight tops. Accessories like striped beach totes, raffia clutches, espadrille sandals and stackable thread-wrapped bangles proved to be the perfect finishing touches for this cabana-inspired collection. Take a mini-vacation and browse all the photos taken by KC, my lovely correspondent. I'm obsessed with the belts, striped blazer and embracing the color green. Which pieces are your favorite?

Disclosure: Guests of the event were gifted one necklace each.

Hmmmm. Other than the striped blazer, this collection is a dud. :-(

Thanks for any other fantastic article. Where else could anybody get that kind of info in such a perfect method of writing? I have a presentation subsequent week, and I am on the search for such info.

everything looks so cheap! i've noticed that about their clothes the past few years- the quality has gone wayyyy down hill. also, you'd think they would have some IRON their clothes before a presentation. just a huge dissapointment all around.

Loft is seriously my least favorite store ever. I love to shop and go to a variety of stores, yet I have never been able to find anything nice at Loft. The clothes all look wrinkly, flimsy, and cheap. That outfit with the plaid shorts and orange t-shirt looks like something I would have worn in 7th grade. Sorry to be such a downer but I never liked Loft and this collection really shows why!

I don't know what y'all talking about... I like the pieces. Makes me wanna take a vacay. However, The Loft's prices can never be justified. I'm a student and have to settle for Macy's clearance racks and Target for trendy items.

Angie - I so agree!! I've noticed the same thing. 5-6 years ago, I loved the Loft. Now, the quality is cheap, the clothing is beyond boring - they've gone downhill in a big way. I would much rather pick something up at H&M - better quality, more in style and far less expensive.
