Luxe vs. Less: Crossbody Handbag

Crossbody handbags are très hot these days, and with good reason - they're practical and stylish at the same time. One of these purses gives you that winning combo of form-meets-function for just $12.49 - that's less than Chinese takeout! The other purse, however divine, will set you back $243.75.

Can you guess which is luxe and which costs less?

Luxe on Top: Barnard Crossbody by Hayden-Harnett (a Brooklyn-based line of highly coveted handbags and accessories), orig. $325, on sale for $243.75
Less on Bottom: Isaac Mizrahi for Target Cross-Body Bag, on clearance $12.49

I think that if I got a cross-body bag, I'd get one that was slightly roomier and less structured. I like interestingly detailed bags. These are slightly too plain for me.

Nice handbags and dresses at discounted price are available at New York & Company store with coupons...

I was so gleefully surprised by this post that I had to go and ask a few of my friends, and my mother, which of the bags cost the most. Everyone thought the upper bag was the more expensive of the two and were surprised as well to find out that the bottom was instead. After finding this out my mother said "Good ole Isaac Mizrahi", and I agree. In fact, I find the Hayden-Hartnett bag ugly, and the Isaac Mizrahi bag really cute, as in, I actually might try and snag one for myself!

You've got them mixed up - the cute bag (the one on top) is the most expensive.

Thank you for pointing this out - we've corrected the information above.

We're so disappointed, ah well, we shouldn't have been lazy and clicked on Target's site, but it loads a bit slowly so we avoid it. We shall dream about it then. I'm going to go get slapped on the wrists now for upsetting everyone. > >

Sooo sorry for the mix-up! I think I subconsciously wished it were the other way around, too :-(
