In Real Life: Target's March Shoe Highlights

I've decided to start referring to my "Off the Rack" posts as "In Real Life" - let me know if you like/dislike/don't care about the change. Moving right along, yesterday I checked out the shoe offerings at my local Target. It was the first day of spring and sandals were finally out! I fell in love with a pair of nerd-chic Mossimo flatforms but the back strap kept slipping off when I walked. I wanted to love them but they just didn't work out. So then I turned my attention to some pewter sandals that are a DVF "Opal" knock-off (which I posted earlier here). These wedges look great on and feel pretty comfortable. Other highlights include some brown and orange strappy wedges, very Tory Burch-esque, bright cobalt and turquoise platform sandals, ankle-cuff flats, and ankle-strap espadrille heels. Really, there are so many great wedges right now. Keep reading to see dozens more IRL photos - which ones did you buy or plan on buying?

Thanks for the Target Spring 2012 Shoe Preview! Nice cross section of styles. Love the electric blue heels!

I have to say... sky-high heels make me want to vomit. Why are women still willing to cripple themselves like that??

Love the last couple pairs though. I only wish Target shoes ever had arch support.

i like "off the rack" better, lol. anywho, i have the "philomena" wedges in black. wore them to work yesterday and let's just say that these aren't good for standing long periods at a time- at least not for me. i love them, though.

I just bought a pair of sandals from target and their selections were pretty great. I thought "off the rack" had a nicer ring to it.

I'm in the minority here but I like "In Real Life," mostly because when I see things on a web site or in a magazine, I always wonder if they look as good in real life.

I love those black flats with the silver toe cap. Some of the wedges are really cute too. The heels are nice, but I don't know how anyone that has to be on their feet much can wear them.

I'd say Off the Rack. I've shopped at Target before, but it's been a while, I knew they had great handbags and underwear, have you seen their bra selection! You really don't need Vici Secret. I haven't checked out the shoes though, but now I'm going to, those are so cute. I love the blue ones!

I've picked up some really cute bras and loungewear at Target as well. They have cute work-out gear too!

Ya know, I think I kind of like "off the Rack" better. Great pics though! Those neon wedges look cute but sort of painful.

Thanks for all the feedback, I will stick with "Off the Rack" - I didn't really have a good reason for changing it anyways! :-)

In real life is ok but I think I like off the rack better! It just has more of a ring to it! But great post thought Target is like my aboslute favorite store!

There are 4 pairs I want really bad. I know the velvet-looking bright blue criss cross heels are $30, and the blue flat sandals are $20. They really stepped it up on their shoe collection. I need to do some serious summer shoe shopping! I like Off the Rack as well.

I like "Off the Rack"! The coral Pollie wedges are so cute. Tried on the cobalt Dolce Vita knock-offs a while ago...they're not very stable, despite the thick heel. I'd rather save up for the real thing.

I must be in the minority, I like the title "In Real Life..." But seems the majority likes "Off the Rack" maybe you could save the new title for something new...

I love target shoes. I only wish they would last longer than 2 months.
