Off the Rack: Target June Highlights

Yesterday I made a trip to Target to see what was new. I haven't been there in a couple weeks (the horror) and while many items were picked over, like the colored skinnies, there was still plenty to ogle. Most notably: Brightly colored dresses of the maxi and hi-lo variety, maxi skirts, short flouncy skirts, breezy tie-neck blouses and colorful cropped pants (similar to J. Crew). Highlights included a fully lined white dress by Merona that looked expensive and wasn't see-through; a blue and orange stripe pencil skirt; easy breezy colorblock tops like this one which we all loved at Target's fall press preview.

But I was a woman on a mission to recreate two outfit ideas from my Westfield Style shopping trip. I wanted to recreate the look my "personal stylist" was wearing that day as well as the purple-pants-look she suggested for me (see both here). To that end, I bought purple cropped pants and a geometric print dress with a hint of yellow which I plan on topping with a denim jacket and pairing with these neon earrings. Additionally, I finally bought two pairs of shoes that I've been eying for eons - the Pearce nude pump and Kaelyn bootie. I hope both live up to all the great reviews I've read online.

Love your off the rack posts! I haven't been to Target in a while (usually go once a week, haha), so I might need to head back over there. Very cute stuff you've featured!

I love Target...if you have the creativity and the patience ;-) you can always find great buys and score some super fashionable items!

I love the tie neck blouses! Those are a great example of a summer item that will work for fall.

I have a pair of Target boots that are very similar to the pair you bought and couldn't be happier with them. The heel height is perfect for making legs look a little longer while still being super comfy. And they go with everything.

Love the striped maxi skirts and hi-low dresses. Need to hit up Target soon before the fall items hit the racks.

Love Target. How can you not walk out of there with at least 10 things in hand?? Love all your sales finds. Yes, there have been those exact same nude patent leather pumps that I was eying. Finally on sale? Must check it out.

@Elizabeth Glad you like the "off the rack" posts, I took more photos today at another fun store which I'll share tomorrow.

@Martha I agree with the creativity part. I love seeing how other bloggers where their Target stuff, gives me ideas!

@Sara Right on about the tie-neck blouses, they'd look great under blazers. The boots are amazing, I wore them all day today running around NYC for work and my feet couldn't be happier!

@Antoinette I might go back for the hi-lo dress I tried on. I'd go soon, they're weren't many left at my store.

@Tracie YES! It looks so good. I think it works for the office or for fun, say, with a silky tank or chambray shirt.

@Kat Sadly the shoes I bought were not on sale - Target keeps restocking both styles, they're really popular so I'm not sure they'll go on sale but you never know! I finally caved and paid the full $29.99. So far worth every penny.
