Pierre Hardy Spring Shoe Collection for Gap

Pierre Hardy is a name worth knowing (he's a highly acclaimed French accessories designer with his own eponymous line of highly coveted shoes and bags). But his collection for the Gap, which hit select stores and Gap.com today, is regrettably forgettable. The capsule consists of a dated pointy toe flat, a drab three-strap platform and an uninspired flat sandal. With prices ranging from $78 to $98, these shoes are still too expensive - and they're not even stamped with Hardy's name (all the shoes are just labeled "Gap Design Editions"). The verdict: Next!

Ugh - these shoes were such a disappointment. I was really looking forward to Pierre Hardy's collection.

These are so blah and look like hardly any effort was put into it. I was expecting to be wowed (especially at those prices for the Gap).

Yup, it does look like hardly any effort was put into this collection. Maybe Hardy handed the project over to an assistant or something? It's just hard to believe this is all he could deliver. I blame the Gap! hehe

I think wood heel shoes are going to be all the "rave" this summer, included deluxe platforms. However, I agree with you, Pierce Harding offering will be piled up very high in the clearance bin. Outside of the flats which we been seeing for 5 seasons now, everything is definitely a "miss". What I've seen at Old Navy looks hellva lot better than what's depicted here. Gap can go ahead and start taking mark-downs because I know none of these shoes will "move"

How come I can't find any shoes with color? These shoes do not make me want to go out and shop.
